Would You Believe Me If I Said I Didn't Need You?

Sorry about your loss. Hope it doesn’t sound too phony coming from a somewhat stranger. :)

when she heard Patrick accuse Elyse of stealing his red crayon in the third grade she decided to interject. -> Ha ha. What a bunch of… teenagers… ;)

"No. Molly seriously don't get involved in this. I'm sorry but this really doesn't concern you. And before you freak out on me this isn't me telling you as Patrick your friend, this is me telling you as Patrick the Station Manager who lets you hang out in here even though I'm not technically allowed to. And Elyse this is me telling you as your boss to record the god damned cart." -> Nasty little prick. With a size like yours I’d be careful with big words like that. Molly and I could pin you to the ground in a second. And then we would pushes ‘mute’ button while talks about dirty stuff… Definitely.

/who's Pete is that important?"
"mediocre bass player in Patrick's band. Not really all that important just that he's the one that found the bitch."/ -> chuckles

/"well...at least he's consistant with his own nomenclature."
"oooo...nice word usage."
"Thanks, word a day dictionary./ -> Alright. That makes me forgive is earlier out-break as Master of the Station.

"Do you want to go to the Spring Fling with me? I need a date and I don't feel like getting a real one so I figured I'd ask you." -> What a charmer.

/the one that Molly know figured to be Pete jumped up and fell to his knees in front of Molly before proclaiming
"Hello gorgeous. You, Me, a bottle of the finest red wine and a queen sized bed, how does that sound?"/ -> Yet, another charmer.

"oh, so you bang things for a living huh?" -> LOVE HER.

My rating points says “funny” and I don’t argue with it.

I know I can count on you for a Prick Pete. He is so refreshing! And pathetic.

Author's response

damnnnnn. lol.
yes. they definitly are a bunch of teenagers. I'm glad I managed to nail that "tone"--its been a few years since I qualified as one.
Well, Molly is actually teenier then Patrick, but she could still totally take him. I was writing his little "I'm in charge" rant and was getting pissed at him. I get the impression Patrick takes his "business" very seriously though and can see him being all "grr argh" when it comes to things like that. And yes, Word A Day Dictionary=super geeky cuteness.
That line where Patrick asks Molly to the dance actually happened to me in highschool. Its so not a good feeling, but I knew it had to be used. Patrick is sweet, but oblivious.
and yes. You can count on me for a Pete that isn't perfect and doesn't have females falling for him at every turn. Hell, even as the story progresses and Pete grows out of being a 22 year old asshole he will still be slightly obnoxious. Not to worry all the Pete fans--he will have his moments of humanity.
Thanks for the amazing review as always. and no it didn't sound phony. Thank you for your kind words. :)
always love your reviews. they make me all smilely.
