Owie. That was... poignant, really, and frustrating (to the part of me that thrives upon happily-ever-afters) and very smartly done overall. There are so many stories out there where R and S become instant best friends again... it's good to see some exploration of the fact that a helluva lot has happened to each of them, and that changes have been made. Two thumbs up.
