I absolutely love this story, especially how clueless Joe is about Dex. I finally got an apartment last semester and decided to make my life complete by getting a scottie puppie. I can definately relate to Joe's problem with coming home to find a mess. When Evie (my puppy) would do that with paper (especially toilet paper, or anything on the coffee table) we'd say she'd thrown us a party (like confetti). We'd get all fake excited and stuff and accidentally taught her it was a good thing to do this (I know, I should know better as a psych major... byt hey).
Anyway, enough about my life... I can't wait for more!

Ha ha, the mischeviousness probably comes with the name "Evie". ;) So positive conditioning can go wrong when you condition your pet to do a bad thing. But it's a cute story!
