I'm all for alternative pairings and such. Heck! I like sess/kag. BUT the alternative pairings I appreciate find a way around character assasination. With real reasoning behind the divergence from cannon. I also celebrate them because they forewarn readers of the impeding switch. Twists = good Accidentally reading Character assasination = bad. It's almost as bad as making Sir Integra a man (she's not). Most of the story (animated) is filler where Inu is confused and torn between the two mikos. Play it up. Don't just drop the bomb. You realized Inu wouldn't just come out and say it so you had kouga anger him until he had no control to say it. Could happen but as it lays it doesn't feel plausible. Best of luck
