This is almost too true to be enjoyable.
The ending could stand to be a little stronger. It cuts off, as if there's more. I don't think that you should tell us what the narrator's conflict with the other person was, but maybe a bit more of a resolve over how he/she felt about it.

Interesting thoughts. I'll try to revisit this sometime and see if I could strengthen the ending.
