I was just thinking that I'd like to read this again, so it's nice to see you post it here. The addition of the 'Awake' chapter was a nice touch.
I guess many new to this story will see this as an overly cliched piece. However, I remember this as one of the early post-OOTP works, one which helped to make some of these plot elements cliches. It still holds up well, and Tomas was one of my favorites among your OCs.
I hope that you'll take the opportunity to remove the poker game chapter, but I can stand it if you don't.
