Redefining Summer

I think this is a beautiful story and I can wait for the next installment. I'm very glad that this story came out of the NaNoWriMo because I think more people should be involved in it. I I like how you developed your character and didn't have any major plot holes (none that I could find anyway).

I love the interaction between the characters in the story especially between Harry and Petunia and the confusion Petunia goes through trying not to like(or maybe love) Harry and the results of that.

The interaction between Dumbledore and Harry was wonderful. How you had Harry point out that Dumbledore was behaving just as Voldemort did, sometimes even worse because you know that Voldemort is evil but you don't expect it from Dumbledore “Leader of the Light Wizards Everywhere and Greatest Wizard of the Age".

I like Tonks very much. You made her into a professional without making her a bumbling idiot like so many people do. Harry didn't have much interaction with Andy but the little that was there was very well done and they didn't become mother/son figures overnight like you see so often.

Neville and 'Gran' were very well written 3D characters and I loved the way they played into the story. Neville as 'brother' and Gran as someone who could tell Harry what was going on and how to fix the mistakes that were a result of actions that were taken either by Harry or someone close to him.

The Weasleys weren't a big part in the story but the hair bracelet (thingy) and the fact that Dumbledore didn't get Ginny the help she needed was a great little addition (I particularly like the way Harry nettled the Weasleys into excepting the money he offered {and I can't wait to see the blowup that happens as a result of it in the next installment}).

Mr. Mann was a wonderfully well-rounded character and I hope that you have Harry stay in contact with him. (I also want to see if he follows through on his threat to ‘good thrashing’ if he finds out that Dumbledore was the one that left Harry ignorant of his world.

I think that’s about all I have to comment on other than: it really was a beautiful story and I can wait, again, for the next installment.
