The engine is starting, your eyes are already running

The ties that kept two hearts together are slow unraveling

But still keep me attached

To every unsaid word left.

Running away to each hope I had

Leaving each dream to fall in my wake

But still I fall into the arms of my past

Stop your heart from beating and open your eyes

To finally see something shatteringly beautiful

Kiss me so hard

So you can taste every word I left unsaid

Tonight my lungs are hanging from a telephone wire

Choking on the broken digits of a dial tone

I still end up at your door.

Running away to each hope I had

Leaving each dream to fall in my wake

But still I fall into the arms of my past

Stop your heart from beating and open your eyes

To finally see something shatteringly beautiful

If it was only a dream, then why is it killing me

I still can't escape your face as I leave

I stare so hard I can't breathe.

Running away to each hope I had

Leaving each dream to fall in my wake

But still I fall into the arms of my past

Stop your heart from beating and open your eyes

To finally see something shatteringly beautiful [x2]
