Finishing up the cliffhangers from last chapter
- Again chapter, update soon.
I am also having problems with Document Manager. Just export an old chapter, copy and paste the new one. Then upoad it as the 12 Chapter. It works fine and without losing any files.
Author\'s Response: That's why you are my hero! -- Jim
- Great chapter. ^_^ I'm anxious to read more!
Author\'s Response: Thanks. Next chapter Rufus and Harry meet and politics comes to the front of the story for the first time. Harry and Dumbledore will encounter each other but the confrontation might not be until the next chapter.Molly Weasley won't be happy that another of her children has been injured on an adventure with Harry. Theres a bit of tension at #12.Jim
(#) twilliams1797 2006-03-31 12:08:56 AMthis is a wonderful story so far. I am very much looking forward to seeing where it goes. So far you have made mention of MANY of my peeves about HP fanfic. the lack of other things that people play besides quidditch and gobstones etc. There seems to be a complete lack of the arts, music, dance
and such, I think that your characterisations of people "outside the core group" is very interesting. it seems like a lot of writers take the same quirks and assign them almost like they were canon.. if one writer has a successful or popular idea then they all follow like sheep it seems. hjows that for redundancy, "seems" on both ends of a statement. heh...
now then, both Susan and Harry have several votes each on the wizenthingy.. I guess Neville will probably go along with them..
one other peeve of mine is with the other readers... HEY YOU !!! WRITE A REVIEW AND SUPPORT OUR WRITER!!!!!
Author\'s Response: Thanks for the review. Many of the reviews on the other site I host my story mention how little Ron and Hermione appear in this story. It is intentional. I am proud of my work so far. Even the negative reviews have at the very least said it was well written, just not to their liking.Hopefully, when this story is finished (although 4 chapters covering a 24 hour period makes that seem a very distant goal indeed) people will use this story a benchmark for what separates 'great fanfiction' from the rest.To answer your statement about Neville. His parents are still technically alive. Thus his votes rest with them. Augusta Longbottom had no provision in her will to emancipate Neville. He will have to wait until next year to claim his head of family. The votes are basically trapped in Limbo, similar to the fact that nobody could legally claim them. Fortunately for the good guys, the bad guys don't know that the divorce decree for Narcissa Black has effectively blocked the Malfoy votes until someone files the paperwork to claim them. This will be apparent in chapter 13. -- Jim
(#) The_Resident 2006-04-28 11:55:10 PMThanks for ending this chapter on a lighter note. I tend to 'live' the stories I read which is why I can find errors needing editing that other may miss. It also causes my emotions to run rampant when I read a story as engrossing and exciting as yours. The lightheartedness of the ending of this chapter provided me with a much needed 'cool down'. Thank you. Keep up the great work.
