I sat down next to Andy, he smiled as I did. Well this lunch was going to be exciting, so many things could happen:
I could get to know these guys,
I could humilate myself,
I could be cool and make them like me
or I could just be calm and talk to them.
I didn't know which one I was going for but I hoped it would be calm and talk to them. I needed these guys even if I didn't know them I still need them. I need people to get to know to be friends with to help me through this move and these guys seem pretty good at that kinda thing.
"So Hayley how are you today ?" Joe asked me
"I'm okay I guess, I mean I just moved here, went to a school full of strangers, met you guys and no having lunch with you. So I am okay, how about you Joe?" I smiled
"Ugh, I'm frigging awesome" He cheered
"Pay no attention to the geek in the corner" Andy rolled his eyes
"Oh I intend to" I laughed
"Aww thanks I tried to socialize with you there and you say that, I am sad now" He huffed
"Joe your only talking to her cause you think she's hot" Andy rolled his eyes again
"Shut up Andy, you talk shit" Joe went bright red, as I did too
"Guys, what's the problem?" We heard from behind us, we all looked round to see Pete standing with his arms folded and a grin on his face which was priceless.
"Well Joe here is trying to hit on Hayley, but Hayley has missed it all. Now we're pointing it out for both Hayley and Joes sake, to embarrass him more like. Its rather funny, care to watch Peteybear" Patrick laughed
"Of course" Pete beamed as he sat down next to Patrick
"Hey I am not hitting on Hayley and there is nothing to watch okayy, YOU GUYS SUCK!" Joe hissed as he had his little bitchfit.
"So Hayley hows your first day been, so far?" Pete asked me
"Its been scary, weird, fun, exciting, all in all interesting." I laughed
"Who do you find the coolest outta all of us?" Pete said while raising his eyebrows
"Umm I dont know Patrick probably, I know him the most so far, cause I have been him for the last three classes." I said while turning bright red.
"Aww that's soo cute, she's truning bright red. Don't get embarrassed Hayley" Pete smiled
"I'm not really its just I'm happy that I've found people like you guys who I can get embarrassed with on my first day, and be friends with. You guys dont mind me being friends with you?" I asked them all
"Of course" Andy smiled
"Duhh!" Joe said
"You already are" Patrick smiled a huge smile
"I'll have to think about it... sure thing" He laughed
"You guys are truly awesome" I smiled for like one of the first times today
We spent the rest of lunch talking, about everything I told them about life in the big apple. About my family, friends, bands. I told them that I could play guitar and drums. I told them about my interests, and I found out about them. It was fun cause I needed to know what they were like so I could become better friends with them.
School was finally over, and I ran to the spot where Josh said to meet him. I waited patiently, when I heard a voice behind me.
"Hey new kid, what are you doing standing here?" A males voice came from behind.
"Umm I'm waiting for my brother" I said while turning around
"Aww sweet well, your such a pretty little thing you should be careful what your doing at this school. And be careful who you make friends with like that Patrick, Pete, Joe And Andy they are all trouble so stay away from them." He laughed evily before jumping over the fence and running down the street.
That freaked me right out because why would some jock say I was pretty, then warn me about my new friends. I smiled when I thought the word friends, they were my friends. I was so happy about that, then I forgot about that guy.
"Hayley, lets go home" I jumped at the sound of josh's voice.
"Shit you scared me Josh. yeah lets go dude" I said quickly
"so how was your day Hails?" He smiled
"Umm it was pretty good, I made some rad friends, you?" I laughed
"Not bad, some pretty cool guys at this school" He said
as we walked home I didn't know what to say, I had been so tired all day. Now was my thinking time, I didn't really wanna talk anyways, I had talked to much about myself the last few hours. Now was time to reflect on the day.
When we got home dad was back from work, mom wouldn't be home until 10 and I was a little annoyed but I couldn't change it could i? it was her job and I had to respedct it, me and my mom had always been close. Ever since my little sister died.

"Mom whats wrong?" I said in panic
"Hayley your sister, she ... she was in an accident, she didnt make it.. I'm soo sorry sweety, are you okay?" She said through her tears
"Omg mom what happened" I said while hugging her
"She was outside playing with her toys, then she got hit by a car. Your brother came running in screaming" She said while still crying
"Oh ... I can't believe she's gone mom, I'll miss her soo. soo much" I said while bursting into tears.
"Hayley please don't cry, you know she would never have wanted you to cry, she looked up to you as a hero" My mom smiled at me
"I know mom, I know but I cant help it I'll miss her so much" I sniffed
"I will too Hayley, so will your brothers. And your father, you should be careful around him hes terrible. Go give him a hug, please" She said while kissing me on the forehead and walking into the kitchen.

That was two years ago, I still miss my little sister. She would have turned 9 this year, but shes with grandma and papa. I guess maybe that could be the reason why we moved here, they tried to get on from it but living right next to where my sister died they couldnt handle it. I guess looking back on the last two years mom and dad havnt been the same with each other. Its like a void in their relationship. They don't go out for nights on the town or even just watch a movie together, they just don't. it scares me.
I had to get off that subject or I would have lost it. So I decided to start my homework, math first, I took out my math book and started to do some of the work then I noticed a note in the inside of the book. It says
`Dear reader (Hayley) I hope your first day was magical. Ha that sounds soo cheesy. Anyways you have my trust and friendship for the rest of our lives okay, and for the record your cool as hell. Love always and greatest friendship ever (and you know it)
