  I don't smoke, never have but ti really gets across the idea of how it feels to want a cigarette that bad! Mind you there are other cravings. I've spent the whole day obsessing over a chocolate bar before now. I don't eat much chocolate, but when I do I REALLY want it! Lol!

  I heard french fries do as well ...
  
  And I definitely know people addicted to soda and coffee (I'm a bit of a coffee addict as well).

  Loved it C very well written I know smoking is bad but it makes me want to take up the habit not because of the smoking but the ritual involved in it if you get me, kinda like how making burgers calms me down its all orderly and shit like how lighting a cigarette seems to be.
  Anyways I hope you continue with these I love them.

  Yeah it's a ritual for sure. It's a multi-layered activity and people not only get addicted to whatever is in the smokes themselves but also to the activity. They start to associate it with being relaxed or other shit. They start to pair it up with other activities like having a cup of coffee or whatnot.

  ah great writing. i wanted it to be longer, even though you warned it was shorter.
  
  you know when you look at the scroll bar and see it nearing the bottom of the page, and it's like..."what, already?!" haha!
  
  it certainly is very addictive, and also for me it is complete habit, like you say, a daily ritual.
  
  hey, one good way to stop for a few days is to get very fucking ill! then your habit and daily ritual goes out of the window, cos you feel like shit! wouldn't recommend it actually!

  Thanks! I do know what you mean about that scroll bar thing. Too funny. I'm always bummed when I'm reading a Sassy or MCArmyWife story and that happens!
  
  We all just need to find healthy rituals. Sad thing is I've quit smoking 3 times. Two of which were when I was really sick. But then some time will pass and I'll be around friends that smoke and there I am again.

  Great as usual. So yeah, I was totally smoking while I read this. I've actually found in my stories when I reread a chapter to post and Gerard lights a cigarette, I do too. LOL You have such a great way of putting emotions into words.

  Haha I can totally see you lighting smokes while reading/writing. I vowed not to smoke in the house a long time ago so if I'm reading I have to wait and if I'm writing I have to take a break and go outside.
  
  Still trying to quit though. I almost had it earlier in the year too and then I went to L.A. and hung out with friends that smoke. I'm weak. If I wasn't all weird about those patches things I would use those. And the gum tastes like ass so forget that. I just have to do it.
