  I'm so confused as to who needs more sympathy...Willow because she's giving him everything and he's just being an ass to her, or Gerard because he seems so lost and in denial.

  Aw, poor Gerard now. This chapter showed a lot of insight into the emotions they both hold without being too monologuey, I like that =)
  I feel quite sorry for Gerard now, I guess that although some of the things he does and says aren't really acceptable as he does them to intentionally hurt Willow, he thinks he's doing it to save them both some hurt later on. And I'm starting to think that under the bravado it hurts him too, whether he likes it or not =P
  Poor Willow too of course, I knew she'd get drawn too far in,fuck buddies can only ever end badly, so I hope it moves onto something better =D
