Ana's Fingers

I never understood the way people could keep staring,
At a stupid little piece of glass, but now, I'm beyond caring,
So everyday I find myself, staring at my enemy,
My body, and my prison cell, and she screams at me

"You're worthless!" and "You're ugly!", "You don't deserve to live!",
"I'll take you in and scrape you dry 'till there's nothing left to give.",
And when I'm finally crying, my wasted, unheard tears,
She softly whispers it's okay; she lies away my fears

I want to count my pretty ribs, each and every one,
I want to watch myself disintegrate, that's when I'll know I've won,
It scares me that I care so little to wathc her feed me poison,
But she's the one that holds my hand, she's the one I've chosen

But then I start to falter, to fight it and rebel,
So she tells me that I musn't...that I'd been in trouble if I tell,
Sometimes I try to scream, but her fingers wrap around my throat,
"You know that you need me." she whispers, she begins to gloat

I don't know how much longer I'll be able to hold on,
I know my life's been stolen, so much of it it gone,
Maybe, one day, someone else will hold my hand instead,
See the scars, the fright, the pain...the bruises Ana's fingers left

A/N: Another one of my favorites, but it's got me in tears in a few parts...
