  I'm utterly blown away. You nailed Faye's characterization to the spot with this. Spike shines, too, and you've handled him just as well.
  
  I've never been able to see the SpikeFaye coupling, but I can definitely see this. It feels very canon.
  
  The only downside is the use of astericks in place of italicized lettering. It sort of threw the flow of the story, if while leaving the rhythm in tact.

  That was beautiful. Completely true to their personalities and interactions, and so wonderfully told. This is the only FayeSpike story I've ever been able to believe.
  
  Insightful and moving enough that I didn't even notice the astericks, even though they tend to throw me out of a story.
