I am awake
My eyes are open
The nightmare that has passed
Is nothing to the dangers ahead
The war of emotional terrorism
Threat level red
The pain of physical bludgeoning
Blood-stained shirt, scattered head
My only friends
Lie deep within
They say fight back
Torture is only temporary
Volos be one
He tells me
Fire your gun
Upon the thing that should not be
Nightmare comes alive
Amongst the inner war
Turmoil of a thousand soldiers
Suffering Shell Shock
The world is not my oyster
Nor is it my friend
Just try harder, it's fine in the end
And seize the fallen day
Water washes things anew
Just add lye to take the pain away.
