The Emo way

Blend into the darkness, shunned by the light. Feel it start to pulse, oh so right.
Living life, day by day. But doing it the emo way.
Silently tortured by the sun. sleeping tight with your gun.
Feel it all come crashing down. Try to swim when you'd rather drown.
Scars on your wrists and hate in your heart. Been asked to explain, but you don't know how to start.
So you nod or smile or wave a hand. Why bother? They won't understand.
