In his name and for his cause, do I serve.

In his words I find the truth and a meaning.

His presence gives me comfort; his voice gives me peace.

For his cause I wield my gladii, for him I hold my neo-scutum as a part of the wall.

I conquer lands and destroy the enemy for him, uncaring of whether I live or die.

When I meet him, I kneel with my sword before me; looking into his face with the love and awe that he deserves.

The world and the universe shall kneel before him.

In the Emperor's name!

This is based off a Sci-Fi story idea that's been running through my head for awhile. If I ever write the story I have no idea whether it'll be original fiction, or a AU fanfic. And for anyone who wonders: Yes. I do mean Gladii.

Gladii: plural for "gladius" the roman legionnaire's sword.

scutum: roman legionnaire's shield.
