  I think your stepmom seems bitchy as well, but keep your head up! Don't know why I have to say that-- you seem to stand your ground enough.
  I'm in love with this story. I really like the whole gang/murdering/gorey/cute love combo.
  People rarely write that type, and if they do it's not as good of writing and fact filled like yours.
