Brendon looked at Ryan, staring at the black eye that he had been given in his normal after-school beating. He always hated seeing the older boy like this; silent as he stared down at his lap, his hair falling in his face as he wondered the question neither of them had ever been given an answer to. Why? It wasn't the first time Ryan had gotten bullied, and the two knew it wouldn't be the last. Brendon had the same problem; always getting hit for no reason at all. In fact, Ryan wasn't the only one who currently had a mark on his face. Brendon had a small cut on his cheek, a bruise forming around it.
The younger boy stared down at Ryan's arms, looking at the long sleeves as he pictured what had hid behind them. For Ryan, it was always too much. He couldn't handle it, and would always chose the alternative. It was either that or suicide. Brendon looked down at his own thin and uncovered arms. The blue black and green markings that covered his wrists and arms sickened him, and he couldn't help but think that the alternative was better.
All though Brendon wouldn't admit it, he was waiting for Ryan to talk. To look up at him with those big honey eyes of his and tell him that he was fine. That they would keep pushing forward and move on with life. He wanted to hear it. In his mind, he was begging for it to be said, so everything would be okay. Instead, the words that flowed out of Ryan's mouth like a well spoken melody was the farthest from what Brendon had expected to hear that they could be.
"I just want to get revenge." Ryan looked up, looking into Brendon's now worried eyes. Ryan's were filled with malice, a small frown tugging at his lips as he tried to control his rage. Brendon sat there dumbfounded for a few seconds, unable to find words to say to the older man. After a few seconds, he couldn't help but understand what the older male was going through, and he opened his mouth to speak, closing it again as he looked for the right words. Finally, he decided on the perfect response.
"I do, too." He whispered the words, knowing that they wouldn't ever actually DO anything about it. They were the nice quite boys who always took the beatings like the good boys they were. But as he stared into Ryan's eyes, he knew that this was real. That what he was thinking wasn't even close to a joke. And Brendon could feel the word on the tip of his tongue.
Revenge.
So short and sweet. Plain and simple. Like nothing bad could happen. It could help them destroy what had slowly been destroying them since they were kids. It could be the only real way out. It WAS the only real way out. Out of all of the pain and suffering that they had gone through over the past few years. It would fix everything that had ever gone wrong. One simple, little, word, could fix all their problems. One word could take it all away.
There were no words spoken after that. They communicated with their body language. The way they sat on the grassy hill, the sun slowly going down as dandelions broke apart in the soft breeze. The sun kept them warm as they silently agreed what to do. They knew that the minute they spoke the words aloud, that there would never be able to go back on them. So they waited, deciding to wait a week and see if it gets better.

The beatings continued, and Ryan looked like he was about ready to break at any point in time. It was only Wednesday when they met once more, sitting under the cloud filled sky as they sat silently. Brendon held a small cloth to his busted lips, staring at the bruise on Ryan's jaw. He was shaking, staring at his hands so Brendon couldn't see his eyes. It made the other boy think that he was close to tears, and it wasn't until Ryan finally looked up that he realized that he had been shaking with anger.
His eyes were filled with venom, his red black and blue face making him look all the more beautiful. The bruise on his jaw just seemed to make it all the more prominent, his black eye making his honey orbs look all the bigger, his pink lips giving a splash of a soft color on his otherwise pale and bruised face. Brendon stared at him, and the two looked in each others eyes as they stayed silent.
Brendon noticed the other boy calming down, relaxing ever so slightly. "Ryan?"
"I don't know if I can take it Brenny." Ryan sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I hate this." He was looking back down at his hands, all anger gone and being replaced with a looming sadness.
"Hey." Ryan continued to look at his hands. Brendon moved, putting his hand under Ryan's chin so he could look in the other boys eyes. "Ry, just look at me." Ryan stared at him, tears forming in his eyes. Brendon gave him a small smile, bringing the other boys lips to his own. "Don't cry darling," He mumbled against the other boys lips, having the other boy crawl into his arms. "I hate it when you cry." Brendon pulled apart, staring at Ryan who now had his arms wrapped around his neck, his legs around Brendon's waist.
"Can we?" Brendon shook his head, giving Ryan another soft kiss.
"Monday."
"Brendon, I want to..." Brendon looked at him, tilting his head.
"Ry, we can do it Monday." He shook his head.
"No, that's not what I'm talking about." He gave a small and slightly frustrated sigh. "Brendon, I want you." Brendon still looked confused, his innocent mind not being able to connect the dots. "Jeeze Brendon, do I have to spell everything out for you?" Ryan laughed a little. There was something about Brendon that always seemed to bring out the best of the older boy. "B, when we do it on Monday, that will be it. It'll be the end of us and everything we have. I-" He paused, trying to think of the right words. "I really want to go a little bit farther before we go." Brendon grinned.
"Friday." He kissed Ryan once more, laughing ever so slightly. "And Saturday." He let his lips fall to Ryan's neck, trailing down it to make the other boy moan ever so slightly. "And Sunday." He laughed a little. "Just give it a little time. Stay with me for the next few days, and I will promise that the four days to follow will be the best of your life." The two were silent once more, just staring at each other with small smiles on their lips. Ryan realized in that moment that there wasn't anywhere he would rather be than with his boy.
"I love you Brendon." He put his forehead against the younger boys, smiling as he stared in the other boys eyes. Brendon let his lips fall onto the other boys once more, savoring the taste of honey and vanilla cigarettes.
"I love you too Ry."

So I screwed up and lost one of my only friends today. I now only have...one. That's...That I guess. I just want to take a moment to say that your guys reviews really do mean a lot to me. I'm going to sound really weak and pathetic and cheesy when I say this, but your reviews are sometimes the only things that tell me that maybe the future will be brighter than it seems now. I love you guys to death, and just want you to know that.
On a lighter note, this will be a chaptered fic, though it won't have many chapters. And it's going to have plenty of violence and probably a tad bit of sex, so being excited would be a good idea.
-xoxo Pansy.
