Well I already told you personally how much I love this work. I love the contrasts in this work you are painting here. Two cultures meet each other, the eldar -who do not question the wisdom of the eagles- meeting the edain, the feeling of wonder of Hurin and Huor, used to the hard life in Beleriand who are witnessing the luxury of the Golondrim elves as if nothing is happening to them in the outside world. But the brothers do not forget and they worry about the fates of their people, even when they are pampered in the wealth of the elves. What I also like about this ficlet is the dialogue between the brothers. In your words I can sense how young the second born are: the manner how they reason and take in their surroundings. A beautiful piece Trekqueen: very insightful and thought provoking!
