She gave her bedroom door a shove, wrapped her arms around him, and planted her mouth on his.
"Mmm," Tom muttered against Kayla's lips. "shouldn't i be kissing you? It is your birthday, after all."
"Right," she said, "which means I get to kiss you whenever I want. And do whatever i want."
He grinned, setting his neon blue eyes on Kayla. "I'll be more than happy to let you do whatever you want."
A dog whined from behind Tom.
"Aww," Kayla said, ducking down to Puck's level. The husky sat quietly on his hind legs, his tail swishing over the carpet. Tom had brought him over because, according to Tom, Puck wanted to wish Kayla a happy birthday before the party.
It was cute.
"Are we ready?" Kayla asked, scratching Puck beneath the chin.
Puck yipped.
