Slowly but surely

by BloodholicVampire 1 review

A poem influenced by a past argument I had with a dear one. I express myself with metaphors in this poem. The mood is upsetting.

Slowly but surely:

Who knew trust was so damaging, oh that's right I already knew,
I believe my heart could be saved from sabotage, but baby that is exactly who you are,
Did you know how tough are my tears to get off from my window?,
But I guess there's no greater stain,
Than the one cut you are to blame,
How could you know that?,
Without getting a scratch off of my once hard skin?,
I can't fix what's born undone,
So, so long to your phobia,
Battling against the paranoia world you've build on your own,
Because it will be the last trip we'll take,
A sweet blister without remedy,
Because I'll live on with it consuming me in my head,
The piece of my mind for you to have access,
Will someday lock-down in quarantine,
Slowly but surely goodbye,
Slowly but surely goodbye,
Slowly but surely..
I'm sorry
The only thing I can have standing with me,
Are my prayers high from your betrayal's reach,
Hoping they bring you back into my shoes,
Because my arms hold you've killed,
But that's alright,
That's okay!
Do you still know how tough to erase my tears from your window?,
No you can't answer that,
For as long as you swallow your ears where they don't belong,
As long as your eyes hide behind storm clouds,
The only thing close to shine you'll ever understand,
Is lost and found inside your lightning,
Fighting us
Fighting you,
Won't find me again..
So just brush off my face,
Before it dissolves becoming permanently one with you,
If I come back just show me to the door leading me to an icy fate,
But promise me a spring that comes after..
