  Vlad The Impaler killed hundreds of people and started many of the vampire myths- the way in which he murdered his victims lead people to believe he was a vampire. But be warned- if you don't have a strong stomach, I wouldn't pick this topic. It's morbid and disgusting, but interesting in a dark sort of sense.
