Gerard's POV

"TORO!" My eyes snapped open at the rude awakening. Frankie whimpered and cuddled into my side even more. Sitting up as much as I could to glance around the room, eyes still adjusting from sleep, movement came from one area of the room
"BOB!"
"What the hell is going on?" came a muffled voice, that belonged to my brother. Frankie raised his head, eyes half closed, staring in Ray and Bob's direction. My eye's finally adjusted, to see a frantic Bob trying to get away from Ray, who was equally confused as to what was going on. Bob broke free and rolled across the floor away from Ray
"What was with the wakeup call?" Holly asked, dazed and confused
"I woke up, to be tangled and caught up in his bed sheets and there is no way I toss and turn that much in my sleep!" Bob said staring at Ray. Ray stared back
"Oh yes you do! I remember being at Pete's house and we had to share a bed, my god, I got hardly any sleep that night because you tossed around so much!" I looked between Ray and Bob, before looking at Frankie, who was falling back to sleep again. I smiled at Frankie before his eyes snapped open again
"Do not! You toss and turn in your sleep!" Bob retaliated
"Then how come you had your arm over me just now then? I haven't moved!"
"Oh shut up, the two of you!" Mikey moaned. My eyes fixed on Mikey and Holly. From this angle it looked rather dodgy, the way Holly was lying on Mikey and had pushed herself up to see what was going on

"Don't care who's fault it was, you've both just woken everyone up," Mikey said pushing himself up a little bit more. Ray and Bob glared at one another, before returning to their own bed. I glanced back at Frankie, to see he had fallen back to sleep again. I smiled at him, before searching for the clock. 05.56. I sighed and eased myself back down again, careful so I didn't wake Frankie up. I pulled him close and kissed the top of his head, only to have his nose nuzzle into my chest. I could just about see Holly snuggled back up with Mikey, while Ray and Bob shifted around for a while. My eyes soon slipped closed and sleep took over once again

----------------------------------------------------

A tingling sensation washing over my chest woke me up again. It felt like I'd had my eyes closed for five minutes. Opening them, the room was a lot brighter. Searching for the clock, the time read 09.01. I looked round, to find Frankie's hazel eyes, flecked with green staring up at me. A smile came across his face as I kissed his nose
"You look so cute when you sleep," Frankie whispered. I smiled
"Not as cute as you!" I countered as he sat up smiling. I glanced to see that Ray and Bob were now sleeping at opposite ends of the room and Holly was still fast asleep, while Mikey stroked her back. Frankie continued circling my chest with his fingers
"What was that thing about Ray and Bob anyway?" Frankie asked. I giggled as I remembered Frankie had fallen asleep
"Bob woke up, tangled in Ray's covers and Bob had his arm over Ray, they both got annoyed, be interesting to see if they avoid one another when they wake up." Frankie chuckled
"You know, anyone would think they were gay if they found the two of them sleeping like that." I smirked at the thought. I knew clearly that the two of them are straight
"Is Holly laying on Mikey?" Frankie whispered. I nodded my head. We lay in peaceful silence for what seemed a lifetime, but was in reality, five minutes, before Bob, started to wake up
"Watch Bob, he's a right grump in the mornings," I whispered to Frankie. He giggled and cuddled into my side more as Bob sat up. He glanced around the room for a second, before he glared in Ray's direction
"Morning Bob, sleep well?" Frankie asked, a sense of sarcasm creeping into his tone. His eyes snapped towards Frankie; you didn't need words from him – just by the look on the face you could see that he was pissed

"I'll take that as a no then," Frankie mumbled
"What time is it?" Bob grumbled as he rubbed his eyes
"Uh, just gone five past nine in the morning," I said reading the clock. Without warning, Bob threw a pillow in Ray's direction
"Go away," Ray mumbled hiding his face in the pillow. Frankie began to giggle
"Dude, you're worse than me when it comes to waking up," Bob said staring at Ray. I began to smile as Bob got onto his hands and knees and crawled across the floor, hitting what I guessed to be Holly's feet as she sat bolt upright with a start staring around the room
"COLD!" Mikey shouted and pulled Holly back down into a cuddle. Faint giggling was heard in their direction, but Bob was more interesting to watch. Without warning, Bob dived onto Ray. God mum and dad are going to be very pissed at the noise we keep causing. Frankie fell about laughing and both Mikey and Holly had sat up to watch as Ray wrestled with Bob
"BOB GET OFF ME!!"
"I will when you get your lazy ass out of bed!" Bob rolled off Ray as Ray sat up. The room went quiet, but I could feel my laughter building up inside, trying to burst free, like a lion trying to break free from its cage
"And I thought I was the lazy one," Bob mumbled. Ray flipped him off and I couldn't contain myself any longer. I burst into fits of laughter, Frankie joining in, with Holly smiling and my brother staring at me
"Man, you two actually argue and bicker like a married old couple," I choked out through laughs

Ray and Bob glared at me, making Frankie laugh even more
"Uh, who wants coffee?" I asked quickly, changing the subject. A rush of cold hit my side as Frankie jumped up and ran out of the room
"Get you for that one Gerard," Bob said sternly and I got up and followed suit after Frankie. Pulling out mugs and brewing coffee, the excitement hit me; the Misfits concert was today, in a few hours' time, we'd be stood in the arena after the last support act finishes and the arena will be plunged into complete darkness. The strong aroma of body sweat thick in the sticky atmosphere. The claustrophobia as bodies are pressed close together, the very thought of being close to Frankie sent chills up my spine. The arena will light up, along with the first guitar riffs as the sweet beautiful art known as music fills the arena, drowning out the screaming fans. Heart beats increase as the well-known adrenaline courses through my veins, like a drug. I can imagine it now, the dazzling strobe lights blinding, seeing my friends happy faces, Frankie's smiling face, beautiful soft lifts, lip synching perfectly with the lyrics, while the musicians play their hearts out. I wonder what other effects there will be; I hope for pyrotechnics to intensify the atmosphere. I can feel the bruises forming on my body as I think about the jumping around, the stamping on feet, accidental hits from fans as they freak out to the beat
"Wakey, wakey Gee," Frankie cooed, before giggling. I looked round and realised I had been staring into space, while mindless stirring a cup of coffee. I felt a blush creep up my cheeks
"Someone was day dreaming," Mikey teased. I poked my tongue out as I sat down
"Morning boys," dad said walking in. He paused and looked at Holly
"Good morning Holly." She smiled back
"Good morning!" she said brightly before sipping her coffee
"What were you day dreaming about?" Frankie whispered
"The concert, what it will be like." Frankie beamed
"You're not the only one," he said, still smiling

"Who screamed this morning? Was it you Holly?" dad asked looking at Holly. I glanced at Bob who was flushing a nice pink colour. I giggled
"No, Bob did," Mikey said 'matter of factly' causing a death glare from Bob
"Oh," dad said looking round surprised at Bob
"Sorry," Bob muttered and he glared at Ray; Ray had taken interest in his bare feet, while his hands cupped his mug
"It's ok, thought it might have been Holly, know how many spiders that come out during the night in the living room." He trailed off, leaving a wide-eyed Bob, Holly and Frankie. I chuckled
"Did you have to say that dad?" Mikey whined as he poked Holly
"Sorry, but it's true, anyway, get yourselves breakfast, then get dressed as we're leaving in two hours, when we get to the venue, you'll have food when you get there and then go to your concert," dad said turning around with two mugs of coffee
"Ok, how are we going to fit into one car?" Mikey asked sipping his coffee
"Well, your mum is taking a group of you, and then I do believe Linda is taking another group," dad said as he started for the door. Mikey nodded his head
"So I suggest you choose groups to split yourselves into," he said as he walked out of the kitchen
"I say food first, and then we'll decide," Holly said looking around the table. It was a mad rush to get breakfast; toast all around and I don't think our toaster has been worked so hard to produce enough food for six people in the morning
"So, is that settled?" Ray asked
"I'm with Frank and Gerard," Bob said through a mouthful of toast
"Yes, while I'm with Mikey and Holly and don't talk with your mouth full." Bob flipped Ray off. I could see today was going to be an interesting day. Holly sat and giggled
"What are you-" but before Mikey could finish his sentence, Holly raced past and her thundering footsteps were heard on the stairs
"Bathroom," we all said in unison
"Damn, she'll be in there ages!" Ray moaned
"Ha, believe me, she's quick in the bathroom," Mikey said. Frankie smirked
"I call the bathroom next!" I butted in
"I'm after Gee!" Frankie piped up
"I call dibs on it after Frank," Mikey said
"I'll go after Mikey," Bob said as Ray opened his mouth
"Fine, I'll go last then, but Bob don't take forever in the bathroom."
"I never do," Bob said trailing off and picked at his nails

---------------------------------------------------------

I was soon pulling on my tight skinny jeans after drying myself off in my room, while Frank called the bathroom. Going through my wardrobe, I had to decide amongst the Misfits t-shirts which one I was going to wear to the concert. After choosing one, I grabbed my eye liner and began to line my eyes when I heard my bedroom door open
"Fuck, why does your room have to be so far from the bathroom?" Frank said closing the door quick. I turned round and smiled at Frank, who was still wet from his shower, with only a towel around his waist. I averted my eyes up and focused on his face, to try and avoid the blood from rushing southwards. He smiled
"Like what you see?" He teased
"I always like what I see," I giggled. He chuckled and I turned back and finished lining my eyes. I jumped as I felt arms wrap around my waist. I turned round and cuddled Frankie. He was now wearing boxers
"You're still damp!" I said pulling back a little. He stuck out his bottom lip. Seriously, this guy is just too cute sometimes
"N'aww, puppy dog," I said cuddling him again. He chuckled, before breaking free and dressing quickly. He rummaged around in his bag, before running over and shoving me out of the way of the mirror
"Charming!" I chuckled as he stood and lined his eyes with black and red guy liner. He turned back round, and ran back to his bag. I sat on my bed and giggled as I watched him run back to the mirror and sort out his hair
"Such a girl at times." I had dragged a comb through my hair, while Frankie was carefully taking his time styling his hair
"Whatever Gee-bear," Frankie said still focusing on the mirror. After a few minutes, he turned round, finished. Tight skinny jeans, a Misfits t-shirt that is a size too small, black and red guy liner and perfectly styled hair

"You may say I'm a girl at times, but really, you like it," he grinned. I rolled my eyes and chuckled. He ran at me and knocked all the air out of me as he tackled me down onto my own bed. I chuckled
"Am I a girl now?" he asked teasingly as he kissed my neck
"Oh Frankie." Without giving him warning, I rolled, so he was now laying beneath me
"Of course you are Frankie, you will always be a girl in my eyes," I giggled. He pouted, but it soon disappeared as I placed my lips over his. Feeling his fingers in my hair pulling me closer, to deepen the kiss, something has to ruin it
"GEREARD! FRANK! GET UP HERE NOW!" Holly shouted
"Can't even get a moments peace," Frankie said as I got up and opened the door to my bedroom and ran up. I stopped dead as Holly had pinned my brother to the floor. She giggled
"You know how he wore make-up at Halloween?" she said turning her head
"Yeah," I said staring at my brother, who wasn't even putting up a fight
"Well, I tried to get him to wear guy liner, but he won't' play ball, I got him on the floor, but can't exactly hold his hands and put guy liner on at the same time," she trailed off looking hopeful
"What the," Frankie began before giggling. I had the choice of pulling Holly off my brother or helping Holly. Being the kind brother I was, I ran over, dropped to my knees and held Mikey's arms down
"Go for it," I said smiling. Mikey never wore make-up. He looked good in eye liner last time

Mikey didn't bother to fight, but instead glared at me. I knew he hated me right now. Frankie stood to the spot, giggling. Bob soon joined him by his side
"Uh," Bob began
"There," Holly said sitting back a little. I let go of my brother's arms and moved back quick and hid behind Frankie. Holly grabbed something by her side and helped Mikey to sit up, before putting a beanie on him
"N'aww, Mikey has to have help getting dressed," Bob teased before laughing. Frankie chuckled
"What do you think?" Holly said jumping up and pulling Mikey up with her. She giggled. I raised an eyebrow; skinny black jeans, a tight fitting, 'Dawn of the Dead' t-shirt, eye-liner and a black beanie, with his fringe pushed to the sides. He looked pretty decent and if I say, he looks a little older than he actually is. I smiled
"Not bad," Bob said recovering from his laughing fit
"Sweet," Frankie said smiling
"You look pretty decent bro, you have one stylish girlfriend who knows how to dress you," I said happily. Mikey smiled and looked to a smiling Holly
"Wish you would wear guy-liner more often," Holly pleaded
"Yeah, then you'll be as awesome as Gee if you wear eye-liner, not that you're uncool or anything, you're awesome as you are," Frankie said, getting himself confused. I put an arm around Frankie as he tried to get his words right
"Thanks Frank, I might consider it," Mikey said. Holly made big eyes at Mikey
"Ah, come on Mikey, how can you say no to that face," Bob said. Mikey sighed
"Fine, I'll wear it more often." Holly clapped excitedly and hugged Mikey. Ray re-joined us, dressed and ready. Excitement hit me even more and I felt myself checking the time every two minutes. Frankie had grabbed the tickets and was holding them close as we waited for my mum and Linda to get themselves ready

"Right, come on then, you horrible lot," mum said. We rushed to the door and split into our groups. Frankie sat in the middle, between me and Bob. Bob was quiet, but he was excited; he sat tapping his hands on his legs, beating out random tunes. We watched as my mum pulled out first, with Mikey, Holly and Ray. They led the way as Linda started the car and followed closely. I looked to Frankie, who had a huge grin, glued to his face. I held his hand tightly and glanced at Bob. He sat looking out the window, watching the world flash past. Frankie cuddled into me as we endured our car journey to our destination – today was going to be a day that none of us were going to forget in a long time.

Narrator's POV

Eardrums burst and bleed. It's always the way at a concert, but worth it. The constant low ring in the ears after the concert, and the amazing buzz, that rushes through people's bodies. The six walk out, rosy cheeks, smiles pinned to their faces and hair stuck to their foreheads. The words, 'epic,' and 'awesome,' being repeated over and over again, as they pile into the two cars for the long journey back home. The burst of energy from the concert soon drains them, leaving them lifeless, as they sleep in the backs of the cars, forever dreaming about the concert. The Sunday was spent resting and recovering, getting back to reality after an amazing concert that captured the hearts of Gerard, Frank, Mikey, Holly, Ray and Bob. Monday was a heavy day, with the return of Shayne. Gerard became protective, keeping Frank close by his side. Knowing that Shayne can beat someone and leave them on a cold, hard floor to be found barely alive. He didn't want a repeat and the wash of same guilt, hitting him hard like it had before. Holly and Mikey stayed close to one another and were watchful. Shayne glared at the four from a distance, but didn't dare to approach.

Weeks began to creep by slowly, with the first signs of spring beginning to appear; crisp green leaves are growing on trees again and flowers beginning to appear. The weeks passed, with it getting closer and closer to Gerard's birthday. Frank took liberty of the last few weeks leading up to his birthday to ask him, every day repeatedly, what he wanted for his birthday. Everything seemed peaceful, or so it seemed. Holly had withdrawn herself a little, not enough to grab everyone's attention, but enough for Mikey to notice how she was a little bit quieter the past week. She would simply smile and hug him tightly, and start to laugh and join in on conversations. None of it seemed to have phased Frank and Gerard.

It was Tuesday, four days before Gerard's birthday. Gerard and Frank sat in their last lesson of the day. Holly and Mikey worked in pairs in a physics lesson. Their room was quiet as the class worked on an experiment. Mikey watched Holly warily. In his eyes, she looked a little pale and tired. He grabbed a scrap piece of paper, writing the casual note of are you feeling ok and passing to her. She hesitated for a second as she took a pen and scribbled a note back. Mikey looked at it before looking to Holly. She had stopped with the experiment. His eyes dropped down to see her hands shaking a little. He scribbled a note back and watched as Holly's trembling hand wrote back to him. Holly's head looked away as the note was passed back. The note was something that could make you scream with happiness or could be a note that tears your whole world apart. Mikey's heart stopped for a second before kick starting again as he read the note. Holly took the note back and scribbled something else, which earned a nod of the head from Mikey as she tore the note up and went and chucked it in the bin, now unreadable to anyone. Mikey went silent for the rest of the lesson along with Holly, fearing what the answer maybe. The end of the day neared and as the bell sounded, Holly held Mikey's hand tightly and dragged them in the opposite direction that the students walked. She turned to look at him, before disappearing inside the girls' toilets, leaving Mikey to lean against the wall and wait; wait for an answer that could turn his world upside down.

Frank's POV

I'm pretty sure I was pissing Gee off now with my constant asking, but it was funny
"So, what do you want for your birthday? No way I can top the present you got me!" Gee laughed
"Which one? The art book or going to sleep with me?" he chuckled.
"Well both, but there is no way I can top your art work!" He chuckled again
"Yes, you can, I know you can!" He smiled brightly at me. I held his hand, but he stopped abruptly as I opened my mouth to speak
"You ok Mikes?" Gee asked. Mikey seemed to be day dreaming and not really with it. He gave a small smile and nodded his head
"Waiting for Holly, we'll catch up with you," he said quietly. I watched as Gee eyed his brother suspiciously
"Ok bro, see you in a bit," Gee said and we started to walk again. I glanced over my shoulder, to see Mikey look to the ground again
"Something is on his mind," Gee said quietly. I nodded my head and looked to Gee, to see his smile had gone from his face

Mikey's POV

I don't really know how to feel right now. I know that me and Holly have probably both failed physics now after reading that note. I hated waiting; I hated to think of what I would do when Holly returns. The corridors were virtually empty now. It's amazing how quick students will get out of here. I had contemplated either on seeing my brother and Frank. He'd question me when I get home, but I'm not even sure whether I can bring myself to talk to him, not today that's for sure. The creek of a door opened. I turned round and sure enough, Holly stood there. She seemed even paler. I think I could guess what the answer was, and this was my fault. Tears filled her eyes, her beautiful eyes. She nodded her head
"I'm so sorry," I choked out as she hugged into me tightly. I couldn't fight back the tears any longer and let them flow. I repeated my words over again as she sobbed into my chest

Frank's POV

"Well, they haven't caught up with us," Gee said, sounding a little uneasy
"They'll be home soon, I'm sure," I reassured. Gee nodded his head
"Besides, we saw dick head get on his bus and go home." Gee nodded his head again
"They're fine," I smiled. Gee smiled back before swooping in and capturing my lips into a soft kiss
"I'll probably text you later," he said, before kissing me again
"Until tomorrow," I smiled. We went our separate ways. Mum was home as usual. I did my usual round of raiding the kitchen, grabbing a can of coke and food, before retreating to my room, to try and attempt the homework that has been set. Grabbing my iPod, I sat on my bedroom, and pulled my books out, along with a pen. I sat and focused on the latest piece of homework set in history. I kept on getting distracted; Gee did seem worried about Mikey and Mikey did look like he was upset about something. Whatever it is, it's not my business unless Mikey wants to tell me. Maybe him and Holly had an argument? No, can't have, they seem fine around school. I sighed and focused back on the stupid history assignment that was due in next lesson, which was on Thursday

---------------------------------------------------------------

I lay on my back staring at my ceiling, clearing the last of today's thoughts out of my mind before settling down to sleep. It was about half eleven in the evening. I sighed and smiled at the thought of Gee; his beautiful pale skin, cheeks tinted a pale pink. His messy raven black hair, which had recently been cut making him look even more perfect, and his beautiful hazel coloured eyes, that stand out, full of ideas, hope and love, care, happiness; not a single dark thought floated through them and the darkness of fear no longer haunted them. I smiled to myself as I thought of his smile. His long slender like artist fingers that create the most stunning pieces of art work I have ever seen in my life. Then his angelic voice, and adorable laugh. I grinned more as I thought of these thoughts, and realised it was waking up a little 'friend' down south. I sighed and turned onto my side and closed my eyes to fall asleep; the thoughts still drifting around my mind. The thought and feeling of floating washed over my body as I began to slip away into a dreamless sleep. I still had no idea what I would get Gee for his birthday; I know one thing that he would really want, but I had to get him something. As I drifted further into sleep, the feeling of falling sent my senses spiralling out of control and a sudden jump, waking me. I became aware of a buzz in my room and turned over and grabbed my phone off my night stand. 1 new message from Gee

Frankie – I'm worried about Mikey! :-( xxx

I frowned at the message for a second

Its ok, talk to me – what's up? Xxxx

I sat up in bed, fully alert and awake. If Gee was worried, it meant he wouldn't sleep. And if Gee doesn't sleep, then I won't sleep either

He came home, quiet – he looked like he had been crying, but I didn't push him for an answer or anything. He hardly ate anything at dinner. Mum and dad are worried. He's shut himself in his room and I swear I've heard him crying a few times :'-( xxxx

It's not like Mikey to do anything like that

You tried talking to him? hugs xxxx

Mikey isn't the one to shut himself away, I've not been told that he does that. He always goes to Gee when he is upset. I started to worry a little. Is Holly ok?

Yes, but he won't say anything, just sits and stares at the ground – Frankie I really don't know what to do. I asked if him and Holly were ok and he just seemed to tense up. Has Holly text you? Xxxx

Gee is the only person to text me today. I'd had no other texts

Nope :-S don't panic – I'm sure everything is fine! If it makes you feel better, why don't you stay up with him tonight – might make him feel at ease if you're there in the room. He might open up to you soon xxxx

Maybe something has gone on between Mikey and Holly. I was half tempted to text Holly, but didn't want to, in case they're both fine. I don't want to worry her – one of us had to get some sleep tonight

Think I will stay up with him – I'm just so worried. Thanks Frankie xxxxxxxxxxxx

I sighed knowing that both Way brothers will be tired tomorrow if neither of them sleep. I sat up as I text him back

I love you Gee. Hope you both get some sleep and see you in the morning :-) xxxxxxxxxxxx

I put my phone back on my night stand. My eyes became fixed to the art book Gee had made me. I got up, picked it up and brought it over to my bed. I curled up under my bed sheets, getting comfy, before flipping through and looking at the art work. Apart from being in Gee's arms, playing my beloved Pansy and listening to music, looking through this art book, helped to put my nerves at ease. I never got bored of looking at it, each time I'd spot more of the detail in every picture. As I turned over to the next page, I could feel my eyes fighting, begging for sleep, but knowing that Gee was up with Mikey, worried sick about him, worried me a little; I wanted to stay awake in case he text me again. I just hope that horrible black hole that takes over my Gee doesn't come back and try and take him tonight, while he sits with his younger sibling.

********

I struggle to think up what to put in the summaries now :-/ anyway, any of you be able to guess what was on that note? You may all find out later when I post a second chapter :-)
