  Now THAT was something new. However, you need to baste this thing with a disclaimer and maybe explain how a man with no reflexes is so good in a swordfight.

  A very nice one-shot, indeed. I love the idea of using that sunstroke and how Jack would deal with the idea of being different now. I'd always attributed it to either syphilis (as Johnny Depp had said that the scar on Jack's chin was a syphilitic one), or severe drunken-ness. But I give you loads of credit for doing such research. I even wonder if the scriptwriters didn't do the same. Amazing fic. Bittersweet and fascinating.
