They gave her a band-aid, put it over the wound,
But the wound in her heart still leaked,
Her cries and pleas for stitches were ignored,
And that wound remained open.

She's afraid, so deeply afraid.

It wouldn't heal, it couldn't heal,
She lived her life, as viscous girl,
Her memories brought her to her knees,
The nightmares tore her apart.

Her fear has a face and it stalks her.

"Everyone hates me," she mumbled,
To the empty space around her,
Her words snatched from the air,
Her own ears were the ones who cared.

Her fear stays by her side.

Oh, how badly she wants to pull out the plug,
She's an abused mess, a freak,
She tries and she tries but it never changes,
And now she's not afraid to die.
