  i see where you were trying to go with this... and, ok, as far as crack goes, i guess it worked. but i still feel like it could've been executed better. i know that the ooc bits were intentional, yet it still felt a little much, to me.
  
  also, i'm not so sure xena is that easily embarrassed. it's been a while since i've watched the show, i'll admit, but i don't think i remember ever seeing her turn red.
  
  final thought: your ending ought to be what makes the story -- without it, it's just a random piece of out-of-character fluff. so don't you think it needs a little more explanation, beyond a one-sentence mention of xena using gabrielle's scrolls?
