This is very nicely done. A believable alternative view of Snape, both in his relationship to the Death Eaters and the Muggle world and in his unrequited feelings for Hermione.
Canon, needless to say, didn't go this way with Snape, but it's very plausible to think that it might have done. Perhaps, one even might say, it should have done.Author's response
