What are you doing,
Standing in the river?
One step and you'll be free
You must be freezing, love
Where the hell is your coat?

What are you doing,
Standing in the river?
One step and you'll be free
Why are you looking down with such a sentimental stare?
Who is it, that's made you frown?

What are you doing,
Standing in the river?
One step and you'll be free
Your feet must be soaked
Your socks and jeans suddenly torn

What are you doing,
standing in the river?
One step and you'll be free
Why do you look so alone?
Is it that someone has broke your pretty little heart?

What are you doing,
standing in the river?
One step and you'll be free
I don't think that's a great idea
Because the water is too cold

What are you doing,
Standing in the river?
One step and you'll be free
My love goes to your phantom
And my misery to your ghost

What are you doing,
Standing in the river?
One step and you'll be free
I see that you're considering it
Will your decision be the worst?

What are you doing,
Standing in the river?
One step and you'll be free
Don't hold that metal to your lifeline
Because it'll probably hurt

What are you doing,
Standing in the river?
One step and you'll be free
You seemed to have the same idea,
Because the water swallowed you whole.
