Ghost town lived on with the whispers of song,
Butterfly lies scattered across gestures long gone,
To be nothing but a monster drowning in shallow flame,
That is saved by surroundings only to repeat it again,
There's no innocence left in this corrupted soul,
A frozen heart and lungs made of coal,
Choke away the last tears that burn pale cheeks,
Then remind yourself again that you are weak,
Pain and punishment are now the same thing,
And this fight is one that you don't want to win,
It's just same old, same old until we fall down and die,
And the memories and pain have confiscated my will to try,
Late night whispers of a painless masquerade,
Time spins on as those whispers slowly fade.
