Archie was looking at the pictures he had on his desk. His favourite one was
of Atlanta trying to get him to swim. She had that look of determination that he
loved so much. He could see that in the picture he had a slight blush on his face.
Why was he blushing? Then he remembered it was just the feeling of Atlanta's skin
against his. Why did he blush about everything he did with Atlanta?
Archie heard a knock on his bedroom door.
"Come in," he called out. He had a feeling he knew who it was.
"Hey," said a voice behind him. It was Atlanta. She sat down beside him on
his bed.
"So is it true?" she asked.
Archie looked into her eys," Is what true?"
"How you feel about me."
He grinned slightly, " Didn't you see what Cronus showed you?"
Atlanta returned the smile and said,"I don't want to hear the truth from
Cronus, I want to here it from you, Archie."
Archie could feel his heart beat faster, and before he could stop himself he
told her everything, how he really felt about her, how he felt when she went out
with Pan, why he hung out with her more than anyone else, why he was too afraid to
tell her about his feelings.
" I always wanted to tell you," he said, "but I was always afraid you
wouldn't feel the same way. I was also afraid that if Cronus found out he would
try to hurt you. But it hurt me never to be able to tell you. But I will now," he
took a deep breathe and looked her in the eye, " I love you, Atlanta."
Atlanta was speechless. In her mind a million things were going on but she
only paid attention to those last four words he said to her. She knew that in her
heart, she would never forget this moment.
Then she finally found the words and said, "I love you too, Archie." Then she
leaned forward and kissed him.
For a split second, Archie almost thought he was in another one of his
glorious dreams. But the real taste of Atlanta's lips told him that it was very
real.
Archie could hear his door creak slightly, and the muffled giggles he heard
would tell him that his friends had heard every word of what he said. But he
didn't care anymore. Let them tease him to no end. He had Atlanta and it would no
longer be awkuard for the two of them.

That night Archie's favourite dreams came back. But this time when he awoke he
was no longer disappointed. Those dreams had come true.
