Some of the best characterization I've ever seen. No convention mistakes jump out. One of the best fics I've ever read.

Sad that you had no reviews. I've heard of you elsewhere...

    Have a nice evening.

A good glimpse into the characters from an original perspective. I liked the way Naruto thinks as seen via the shogi board, and I liked the fact Sakura keeps getting called away on emergencies; she's seen as extraneous or a nuisance in so many fics, it's nice to see her in her element, as well as get a glimpse of the violence implied, which comes par for the course in a Hidden Village. And of course, the section on Sasuke was grim, moving and insightful.

That was a nice shot! When I read the summary I wasn't expecting the story to be this deep and has many sides, like a shogi game. Maybe because this is my first reading your story. I like how you portrayed each character through the shogi board. The Anko & Kakashi part was funny. And I am touched by the Sasuke part. In the end, no one wins.

But with Temari, Shikamaru always ended up with win x win conclusion!

    Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.
My analytical mind is imploring me to congratulate you on your impeccable spelling, etc., and the rest is saying 'Huh. That was a damn good story.' Which it absolutely was- great work!
