That last line is a lovely kicker.
This fic was again, lovely. I enjoyed the coherent explenation presented. This is wonderfully sad in parts and oddly hopefull. -

You set up a good setting? Probably the wrong word but you (hopefully) get what I mean before the last line. It made me laugh out loud. -

This is probably the first Death Note fanfiction I have actually liked. No, I loved it! It was well-written, and had a good bit of analysis on L's character. The last lines were perfectly executed. I congratulate this as a story well done. -

That was fantastic. The end part made me cry, though. Just that idea, that this sad, misunderstood little kid finally finds friendship only to lose it again, is miserable to me. But the way you put it together was beautiful. I loved it. Five stars.
