~PATRICKS POV~
These last few weeks have been crazy. With band practice, gigs, and all, I've barely had time to myself. Micah's been avoiding me for almost two and a half months now, and I can't figure out why, I'll come home from work and she'll be sitting on the couch watching television and when I walk in the door she goes and locks herself in her room. Maybe that night really did change things, I think to myself. Pete's acting really weird around me too. I just lay in my bed, staring at the ceiling, not wanting to get up. What was going on with Micah? I need to get away from my thoughts. I got up and walked downstairs. Micah sat at the table wearing a large hoodie and eating a bowl of cereal. She saw me walk in and the expression on her face changed. She looked scared suddenly. She got up to leave but I caught her.
"Micah are you ok?" I asked, searching her face for a sign of something... anything.
"I'm fine Patrick, really." she said, not looking me in the eyes.
"Ok," I said doubtfully, not believing it a bit.
"I'm going to the mall with Kaden and Jada," she said, "they'll be here any minute."
"Okay, have fun," I said, smiling and hugging her. The doorbell rang and she grabbed her purse and left. I sat down at the table, only wondering more. So much for getting away from my thoughts. I heard a knock on the door and got up to answer it. It was Pete.
"Hey Pat," he said, walking in.
"Hey," I said, sorrowfully.
"Dude, you ok?" he asked curiously.
"It's Micah," I said sighing.
"Ohmygod what about Micah?" he said, a look of horror falling over his face.
"That's just it. I don't know," I said, "She won't talk to me."
"Oh," Pete said, sighing.
"You don't have any ideas do you?" I asked hopefully.
"Nope, sorry dude," Pete said, looking at his shoes.
Without another word I followed Pete into the basement and started setting up for band practice before Andy and Joe arrived.

~MICAHS POV~
I was sitting at the table eating a bowl of cereal when Patrick came downstairs. I stood up to leave but he stood in front of me, blocking my way.
"Micah are you ok?" he asked, carefully looking me over.
"I'm fine Patrick, really." I said, looking down at my shoes.
"Ok," he said, I could hear the doubt in his voice. He knew I was lying.
"I'm going to the mall with Kaden and Jada," I said quickly changing the subject, "they'll be here any minute."
"Okay, have fun," he sighed. He gave me a weak smile and hugged me weakly. The doorbell rang and I grabbed my purse and left. I got into the backseat of Jada's car.
"Hey Micah!" she said happily.
"Hey," I said dully.
"Have you told him yet?" Kaden asked.
"No," I said quietly.
"Micah," Kaden sighed.
"I know, I gotta tell him." I said," But I'm waiting for the right time."
"If you don't tell him he's gonna notice sooner or later." Jada added.
We pulled into the mall and walked in.
"God I need bigger clothes," I said, looking down at my now visible baby bump, "Patrick's gonna see right through these."
"You know, if you would just flipping tell him, you wouldn't have to find clothes to hide in," Kaden said, looking through a rack of shirts, occasionally pulling them off and handing them to me.
"There, go try those on." she said. I just stared at her. "What? I'm a shopaholic!" she giggled. Just then I felt something wet trickle down my leg. It was blood.
"I don't feel very good," I said, and everything went black as I crumbled to the floor, my head meeting the cold hard floor.

~PATRICKS POV~
I was sitting in my room listening to a CD when the phone rang. I answered it to find a hysterical Jada on the other end.
"Patrick you gotta get to the hospital. NOW." she said, she sounded like she was about to start crying.
"What?" I asked. What the hell is going on? I wondered.
"Something's wrong with Micah, she passed out at the mall, just come ok?" Jada said hurriedly.
"Is she going to be ok?" I asked, now on the verge of tears.
"We don't know, Kaden's in her room with her now. She's still not awake."
"Ohmygod... Ok I'll be there in a few minutes." I said, hanging up the phone. I flew down the stairs and out the door. I drove off towards the hospital, totally neglecting the speed limit. Micah needed me. And that was all that mattered.

~MICAHS POV~
I woke up surrounded by white walls.
"OHMYGOD! SHES ALIVE!" Kaden yelled.
"Where's Patrick?" I asked.
"He just got here." Kaden explained.
"Go get him," I asked, "I wanna see him." I had decided that I had to tell him. If something was wrong with our baby, he had a right to know. Kaden got up and left the room. Minutes later Patrick walked in, the expression on his tear-stricken face suddenly changed when he saw me.
" Micah what happened?! You've been avoiding me for almost two months is something wr - M-Micah? Are you... Are you p-p-pregnant??" he asked, stuttering.
I nodded.
"I-is it mine?" he asked, dumbfounded.
Another nod.
"Holy hell..." he sighed," How far along are you?"
"About two months," I told him.
"Why didn't you tell me?!" he exploded. I immediately started crying.
"I was scared," I sobbed, "I don't want you to leave me."
His face suddenly dropped to that of a compassionate one.
"Micah, I wouldn't leave you for anything." he said, taking my hand.
Just then a doctor arrived at the door.
"Sir I need to speak with Ms.Samuels, unless you are of blood relation to her I'm going to have to ask you to leave." he said.
Patrick looked down at me and I nodded. Patrick kissed my cheek and left the room, probably going back to the waiting room to sit with Kaden, Jada, and Pete.
"Is my baby ok?" I asked.
"Yes, your babies are fine. Strong heartbeats, but there is-"
"You mean baby, you said babies," I corrected.
"No I mean babies. You're having twins."
At that point my jaw just about hit the floor. I just stared at him.
"But you must understand, what happened to you was very serious. I'm prescribing bed rest and check ups weekly at the least to check how you are, medication might help as well. And don't put any physical strain on yourself. It could cause some serious complications." he said. I just nodded.
"We're going to keep you over night, you can go home tomorrow around noon." he said, walking out of the room. I stared at the ceiling, praying to wake up from this nightmare. Instead, I drifted back into a restless sleep. When I woke up it was 11:30. I stood up and pulled my hoodie back over my head and walked out of the room. I walked into the waiting room and found Patrick standing at the reception desk signing a piece of paper. He handed it back to the secretary and looked at me and smiled.
"Hey, Mic," he said solemnly.
"Hey Patrick," I replied.
"Ready to head home?" he asked, grabbing his car keys.
"Yep!" I said happily. I followed him out to his car and he opened the door for me. I slid into the passenger seat slamming the door behind me. He got in the driver's seat and started the car. The ride home was silent and awkward. We pulled up to the house and walked in. Patrick's mom and Elijah were no where in sight.
"Looks like we've got the house all to ourselves." I said, walking in and sitting down on the couch. I was clearly avoiding the subject of the babies.
"Micah, can we talk about this?" Patrick asked, sitting down next to me.
I nodded. Was he mad at me?
"I can see why you didn't tell me, I wish you had but I understand." he said, looking at his shoes.
"Patrick I --" I started.
"Let me finish, then you can talk," he said, taking my hands and covering them with his, "Micah I'm so sorry about all of this, I know it's going to be hard, but we can't change it now. I just hope you can forgive me." he said, staring into my eyes.
"Patrick, I'm not mad at you, of course I forgive you. I'm the one who should be begging for forgiveness for not telling you about our babies." I said.
"It's ok Mic -- Ba-Babies?" he asked, finally catching what I had just said, "You mean like in the future?".
"No I mean the ones I'm carrying right now." I couldn't help but smile.
"You mean I'm gonna be a daddy times two?" he asked, the slightest trace of a grin beginning to form on his face.
I smiled and nodded. Patrick busted out in the biggest, most boyish smiles I had ever seen. He let go of my hands and cupped my face in his hands and gently kissed me. He broke this kiss and smiled at me.
"This is great!" he said happily. I couldn't help but giggle.
"See Micah I told you he'd be ecstatic." I turned my head and saw Pete walking down the stairs.
"Hey buddy!" Patrick said, turning around.
"Where did you come from?" I asked.
"Well, I was born 20 years ago in Baptist East Hospital right here in Wilmette." he said smirking, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "Geez take a joke people. I was up in Elijah's room playing Mario Kart with him. Patrick's mom had to run some arons so she asked if I could watch him. He's asleep now."
I was feeling kind of tired so I walked back upstairs and laid down. I flipped open the vent, you could hear right through those things, and heard Patrick lecturing Pete about me. It was kind of cute actually.
