"It's this one," Perdita said. Agnes looked at the board and found her arm moving towards a dwarf piece. "And he's sneaking looks at you, too," she added.
Agnes felt herself start to blush. "Shut up," she hissed, but let Perdita move another piece away. Perdita was better at playing not to win.
"What was that?" Oats said.
His boil had cleared up, but he still looked a bit hopeless.
Perdita sighed inwardly as Agnes said, "Nothing."
"Careful you don't beat him," Perdita reminded her. Agnes moved again.
It was a difficult job being the romantic one, Perdita thought.
