A one-shot, sad song fiction. That's what she thought she was, invincible. That nothing can harm her until Cronus is defeated. She took that risk and died. I will never forget that night, the night...

Heya, it's me again. In a sad mood today, don't know why though. Anyway, this story is based on the song 'Invincible' by Jesse McCartney. I have his new album, got it on Saturday.

I said don't do it babe
Said it ain't worth it baby
But you did it anyway
Four or five drinks and you were on your way

"Theresa, no! One of these days you are going to regret this!" I shouted at my girlfriend as she walked down the steps to her red convertible. "Jay, you know me. I'll be fine. Don't worry." She said and drove off. She probably had more drinks than what she was supposed to.

September 1st, 2003
It took the life right out of me
Hung up the phone
Raced out the door
Broken
Tried to believe that it wasn't true
But in my heart I always knew
That being the life of the party would catch up to you
Your family was waiting and crying for three damn hours

"NO! No, no, no! It can't be true!" I scream into the phone. This is not happening, only 3 hours ago she and I were just hanging around, watching TV. But she had to go to that party, she had to be there. We are now sitting here, saying nothing as I break the news to her friends, our friends.

I said don't do it babe
Said it ain't worth it baby
But you did it anyway
Four or five drinks and you were on your way
Everything was cool on the straight away
But you took that turn doing eighty-five in a thirty-five
Why babe?

"She was drunk and speeding. The road was slippery and....." I couldn't go on. The tears were threatening to come out, but I had to be brave, for the group. I looked at the faces of my friends. Atlanta was crying in Archie's shirt, Odie was trying not to cry but it was no use. Herry was patting his back, also trying not to cry. Neil turned to face the wall while the tears left his eyes.

Every time I'm home I pass that road
Driving alone and the street is cold
Seeing your face yeah it's haunting me
My mind goes crazy tryin' to figure out
Just where you would be four years from now
And what you were thinking when the lights came down
Doctors were trying to save you for three damn hours

I drive past that bend every now and then, remembering her. I bang my fist against the wheel. "Theresa, why? Why couldn't you just stay at home? Where would you be 4 years form now? You would be with me, but you gave it up." I said to myself. They said the tried everything to save her, but in the end it wasn't enough. It was her fault.

Who ever said that life was fair
When you live without a care
When you're invincible
When you're invincible
When you're invincible
Who thinks about leaving when you're livin'

That's what she thought she was, invincible. That nothing can harm her until Cronus is defeated. She took that risk and died. I will never forget that night, the night that my one true love died. The night the prophecy was almost broken. It was all her fault.

I said don't do it babe
Said it ain't worth it baby
But you did it anyway
Four or five drinks and you were on your way
Everything was cool on the straight away
But you took that turn doing eighty-five in a thirty-five
Why babe?
