Great story! I couldn't find a date, but i just found it and i like this Aeris very much. Wouldn't it be great if she survived and maybe teamed up with Seph (or not) and the story went on...(hint, hint, hint).Author's response
Thanks. There seem to be enough Aeris resurrection fics around without me joining in!:) Although I haven't seen one that was dark before so that might be interesting. I don't write fic that much anymore, I'm busy with some original stuff (and I tend towards one-shots these days anyway), but feel free to take the idea and run with it. Let me know if you do. I'd be interested to read something like that. Thanks again. -

Writing a dark Aeris is an incredible challenge, if only because she's been made into such an icon in the fandom. You did a good job of tying this in with the canon material, just giving it a 'through a glass darkly' twist. After so many St. Aeris the Holy Martyr [TM] stories, it's pleasant to read this interpretation.
(Though I'm probably going to fandom hell for writing that! :) )Author's response
Thank you so much. It's nice to know I got what I was aiming for. I like the Aeris-the-holy-martyr idea, but I just get so fed up with it when I'm reading. I also have a habit of twisting canon to make things darker.
(If you're going to fandom hell for writing that, then I'm certainly not far behind! :) ) -

w000000t some one else who doesn't worship Aerith. I hate Aerith. I liked this, it was well written, and believable. MAde me kind of like her which says a lot XDAuthor's response
Thank you. I don't really hate her, but I do get a little fed up with the same old portrayal of her. It's fun to do something different!
