Air upon the oft-worn theme of Gogo and Daryl, and a gambler's inability to leave impossible odds well alone. One-shot.

Well, it's the first Gogo & Daryl fic I'VE seen (though I have not been around the block much in FF6ficland), and it was a treat to read. The setup was humorous and the emotion really comes out in the last lines.

I can't see Setzer speaking Italian, but you've got his character down well. Daryl's, too. Well-done!

While I've never personally agreed with the Gogo is Daryl theory, I have to say that you pulled it off beautifully here. There are a few lines that just broke my heart. The first was the one about Locke's jokes, because you really brought across the hopelessness of their situation without bashing the reader across the head with it. The second is when Daryl says she's gone funny in the head, because she's changed, and she knows she's changed, and she's afraid that she won't be accepted anymore. Even knowing that things are going to turn out okay, there's a tragic feel to this story that just fits. Thank-you.

As Jade said, it makes more sense for Gogo to simply be a no-name carry over from the previous FF Gogo. Still, this story was very well done, and I'm surprised at how Setzer completely keeps his cool. The last tlines were great.
