  Fawkes on the other hand squawked happily and thinking wondering if Harry would want one of his tail feathers in a pimp hat. Then started wondering if he would look good in a fitted purple pimp hat, his blue one having gone missing.

  A very cute, silly, and fun story. As a one shot, it works quite well. I like that you left a lot to the imagination of the reader rather than spending excessive time in setting up and detailing the mecha. And the brief yet quite unique responses from each member of the team was a nice touch.
