"You sure you okay?"
"I'm fine Ray! I just have a stomach virus."
"Are you sure?"
"The doctor said I would be fine in a few days."
"He said that a few days ago, Adele. I'm worried about you." I put my hand on top of Ray's.
"You shouldn't be worrying about me. I'm invincible remember?"
"You better be. Without you we'd fall apart."
"I know." He chuckled and smiled at me. I let go of his hand and he walked to the door. But before he left he turned to me and asked,
"If there was something going on with you, you'd tell me right?"
"Of course, Ray."
"Okay Adele." He smiled and left the room. I let my head hit the pillow behind me in frustration.
No secrets
I always said that. Now I was breaking my own rule.
