  I thought this would be a ho-hum story in the same way as a cheesy scifi movie, but I found surprising depth in the description and actions of the female 'beast', and how she accepts the murder of her mate.
  There were a few grammatical errors (commas and such), but those could easily be fixed with a proofreader.
