Chapter Five: Promise Me

I held Frankie in my arms, for one week straight.
Everyday he would awake from his slumber, and feed of my blood.
I would often leave to reclaimed blood from a human, come back to find him sobbing.
He hated being alone.

--
The day had come, when his body had finally died.
He was 100% pure vampire now.
I grinned.

’I need to speak to Ramous.’ I though to myself.
My master.
My creator.
My.. Father.

“Mmm.” Frankie mumbled, moving close against me.

I chuckled.

“Frankie, time to get up.”

He groaned in annoyance, as I shook him lightly.

“Fine.” He yawned, he looked up towards me smiling warmly.
His skin was much paler, his green eyes shun brighter, his lips a light pink.

I smiled. “Hungry?” I joked.

He blushed. “Eh, um..”

I reached out, touching his cheek. Pecking him lightly on the lips.

“Frankie, we need to go visit an old friend of mine.”

Frankie stood silent for a moment.

’Your not ordinary, your different from the rest of us vampires, Frankie. I-I don’t know why, but a week ago you feel into the deadly thirst.’ I thought silently to myself.

Frankie gasped. “I-I can hear your thoughts!”

I nodded.

“The deadly thirst?” He repeated himself confused.

I grinned. “Let’s get you changed, and feed. Then I’ll explained on the way.”

Frankie nodded.

--
I pointed Frankie in the direction of the shower.
Once he had showered, I allowed him to pick out his clothing.

His jaw dropped.

“This, is all your clothing? Holy shit.” He spat, eyes wide as I pulled open the long wardrobe that was overflowing with elegant, to average to formal to classic rock clothing.

I laughed. “Yeah.”

He stood for a while, soon picking out knee ripped jeans, and an old Pink Floyd band t-shirt, that Mikey had bought for me.

“Are some sort of, punk gothic kid?” I asked curious.
He shrugged.

I turned my back, as he changed. Biting my lip.
“Don’t you dare turn around!” He warned, I grinned. “Aww.” I joked.

“Fucking perve.” He laughed.

Once he had changed, I had a hard time looking away.
The black clothing, and eyeliner he had applied made him look so much more beautiful.
And his new vampire features made him look more fascinating.

I smiled sheepishly. “You look- nice.” I muttered.

‘Amazing Frankie. That you barely know me, yet you’ve taken a great liking to me. ’

Frankie smiled warmly to me. ‘I dunno, it seems like- we’ve got some kind of connection. Were connected in some way.’ He returned his thoughts.

I sighted, “Yeah, eternal mates” I whispered under my breath.

“What?” he asked.

I laughed awkwardly. “Nothing, nothing. Let me get changed and then we’ll go. Umm, wonder around if you like.”

He nodded, exiting the room.

I breathed in, and exhaled loudly.

--
I showered, scrubbing at my hair.
Once finished, I wrapped a towel around my waste.
Exiting the shower, that was connected to my bedroom.
I froze, as Frankie sat starting at me awkwardly.

“UMM!” I yelped embarrassed. I hated showing my bare chest.

”AHH, SORRY!” Frankie yelled, covering his eyes as he walked towards the door exiting and closing it shut.

I felt the heat rush to my face. “Little shit.” I muttered under my breath.

-
I changed into, a black silk buttoned up long sleeve shirt. I wore, a black and red designed jacked, with black jeans. I scuffed at my hair, giving it the un-brushed spiky affect. I sighted, shrugging as I looked at my reflection in the mirror.
I was a handsome man.
I had to admit that.

I smirked.
Frankie’s gonna like this.

I exited my room, to enter a dim lit lounge room.

“Frankie?” I called, he was no where in site.

“Yeah..” He called back, I followed his voice to find him sitting in a dark room. Poster’s covering every inch of the wall, clothes and suck scattered everywhere.
Mikey’s room.

It hurt me, to enter this room.
It hurt me, simple to even look at it.
It hurt me even more, to find Frankie seated on Mikey bed, in pain.

”Let’s get going..” I whispered, gesturing us to leave.

Frankie nodded, he followed me up the long staircase.
“Gerard..” He began. “Why did Mikey, give me his necklace?”

I grinned.

“I don’t know. Maybe because he didn’t want you to forget him.” I answered casually.

I lowered my eyes in shame--
I hated lying.
Little did Frankie know, that star was given to me by my father.
The Blood Star-
A symbol of promised marriage.
Of eternal love.
My father had married, and passed it on to his first born son.
But, I had never found my true love.
So I had no choice but to pass it down to Mikey.
And then Mikey had given it to Frankie.
Frankie was now, by family tradition, promised to Mikey.
Sexuality meant nothing to vampires.
I bit my lip in anger.
Why the fuck would Mikey, promise himself to Frankie!?
WHY! FRANKIE WAS MY MATE, HE WAS MINE!
I felt the tear’s form in my eyes.
”Mikey..” I whispered.

“Gerard?” Frankie tapped my on the shoulder.

I froze, realizing i was clenching my first in anger. I looked toward Frankie, who eyed me in concern.

“I’m sorry.” I whispered.

He nodded.

I continued walking up the stares, slipping my hand into Frankie’s. I smiled down upon him, he blushed as he held my hand.
