Frank's POV
I had a meeting with my therapist today and then everyone was going
over to Jimmy's for Lexus' birthday. As I walked into my therapist's
office I didn't expect to see my friends in there.
"Lexus?? Jimmy?? What are you guys doing here??" I asked.
"Ohh, it's just my weekly check-up, you know how it goes," Lexus said.
I nodded and noticed Lexus covering up her wrists, which got me
confused. She then was called back for her session. I shortly followed in
after her. After about 45 minutes, our sessions were both done and Jimmy
asked if I wanted a ride back to their house.
"No thanks, I've got my car. I'll meet up with you guys in a bit," I
replied.
"Well, I've got to get to the studio for a little bit, but could you
take Lexus to the drug store?? She's got to get her prescription filled,"
Jimmy asked.
"Uhh yea, sure," I replied.
Jimmy whispered something in Lexus' ear and then kissed her on the
mouth, good-bye. She embraced him in a hug and then smiled at me. We walked
out to our cars, and Lexus got into the front seat.
We drove in silence until I decided to turn on the radio. Lexus' eyes
were glued to the window, she wasn't really talkative. We then pulled
into the CVS parking lot and got out of my car. I led Lexus inside and
she immediately went up to the pharmacist.
"Another bottle full?? Alright Princess, you got it," the pharmacist
said to Lexus.
She then walked over the cold drinks and got out a bottle of pink
vitamin water. She then went to go and pay for her drink as well as a pack
of cigarettes.
There defiantly was something about Lexus, she reminded me of myself.
She was young, and up to no good. But I could see, in some weird and
absolutely twisted way, that Jimmy was making a positive impact on her. I
trusted him.
Once the cashier handed her bagged items, Lexus turned to me and asked,
"Ready??"
I nodded and we quickly left the store. She immediately popped open her pill bottle and started taking her meds.
"Whoa slow down there, killer," I said.
"Ohh don't worry, the doctor wants me to take a lot," Lexus assured me.
I was still unconvinced. She reminded me a lot of myself, but more of Audrina. I swear that there was some sort of weird familarity between those two girls.
We approached my apartment and then I helped Lexus move her things inside. As she reached for her duffle bag, her sleeve lifted up a bit and I could see her arm which was all cut up with red gashes. She didn't seem to notice my stare and continued to move her things inside.
Once we got settled inside, she rolled up her sleeves, reveiling more gashes, and started to unpack some of her "special foods" (she was a vegan).
"What are those??" I asked, sternly.
Lexus glanced at her exposed arms and quickly covered them up.
"Aren't we nosey," she said in a low and sarcastic tone.
"Lexus, are you cutting??" I asked, again.
"What's it to you??" she asked.
"I can help you," I replied.
She rolled her eyes and shook her head.
"No one can help me. No one except for Jack," she replied with a devious smirk.
"Jack??" I asked.
She laughed to herself and replied, "Daniels??"
Lexus turned for the stairs, but I grabbed her by the wrist. She almost fell, but I caught her with my other hand.
"I can help you. My dead girlfriend was a cutter too," I confessed.
