Schuldig thinks car keys and sticky weather and the weird intimate feeling of wearing someone else's shoes, all worn down the wrong way - and then realises suddenly that it's not him doing the thinking, again. He's wearing his own shoes.
Tokyo rubs against the back of his mind, scratchy like crisp crumbs left in the bottom of the bag, the cheap bacon-flavour ones that taste nothing like bacon. Schuldig wants to shoot something, and who cares if it's dentists or florists trying to be superheroes in this fucking improbable country?
'Screw them all,' Schuldig mutters. He grins. It can wait.
