I don’t care if I’d be your rebound girl
A replacement for your greatest love
(What a beautiful lie)
Just love me for a minute, for a while
Even if you see her face
When you see mine

I don’t care if I don’t have your heart,
That it’s in her hands,
That it’s hers,
Even when hers is not yours anymore
(I tell beautiful lies)
Just love me for a minute, for a while
And you can have mine if you want,
If your hands feel empty
Without hers in it
Go on and take it
Put it on display or just put it away
But don’t throw it just yet
Not now, not yet
(It’s yours to keep)

I don’t care if I hear her name
After you tell me “I love you”
Like it was meant to be attached to it
As long as you say mine
After the minute it takes you to realize
That I am not her
(The most beautiful of all beautiful lies)
Just love me for a minute, for a while
Say that you care
That you need me
You want me
And can’t live without me
Even if it’s just a lie
As beautiful as the ones I tell myself
Because darling, I’d live a lie
If it means being the one who hears
Your beautiful, beautiful ones
(We are liars in love)
