There they were, Delilah was hanging off a cliff on Mount Everest.
The only thing that kept her from falling to her death was Zoe holding the rope that was attached to Delilah.
« Hang on Delilah! » yelled Zoe, as rocks fell from the top of the mountain.
Delilah was screaming.
Zoe was trying to pull her up, but it wasn’t working.
« I’m slipping! » Yelled Delilah.
« Just hold on! » Screamed Zoe.
« Not that I really want you to, but… but you have to let go, that’s an order. Save yourself.» said Delilah.
Her voice was cracky. She was sad and scared but she had to do it.
« If one of us is gonna fall, we both are. » yelled Zoe. She clipped the rope on to herself.»
Just then, Zoe slipped, and they both were screaming as they fell to their deaths.
They thought they would die, but they were both wrong.
Delilah landed in the snow.
Zoe landed right beside her shortly after that.
« Well, that was a lot softer than I thought it would be. » said Zoe, smiling.
