Glory to light, glory to day
As dark and light will become decay
destroying peace free and gay
balance is the center hold
for those daring and bold
to shape the days of young and old
using words yet to be told
black is white and white is black
tell me what it is you lack
die and wither in a crumbling shack
until you're ready to come back

Two years is a mortal lie
such as is the term to die
take my voice and steal my words
And keep me from striking any chords
Darken my eyes and harden my skin
beg for me to let you in
fool me with a smirk or grin
just let your silly games begin
Glory to light glory to day
you never take the pain away

you warm the bed in which I lay
You warm my heart yet break my soul
with intentions made from coal
you shatter my dreams and build them too
that's all you ever seem to do
So smear my blood and steal my song
for you have tried for so long
I thought you wanted me hurt all along
but now I know that I am wrong

Glory to light glory to day
now it is my time to play
I'll make you mine and make you pay
I'll love you from night to day
Until it's time for my dream to fade away.
