2 Months Later Alicia’s POV

‘What the fuck’s wrong with Frank?’ I asked Anita as we walked over to the courtyard, ‘I have no-fucking-clue he’s been acting all emo lately’ she said slightly laughing to herself, I glared at her and then nodded ‘wrong wording, but very true.’ ‘maybe he’s just under pressure?’ she asked ‘you haven’t pressured him for kids have you?’ she smirked I wacked her arm and reminded her that I was only in grade 12.

Gerad approached the grass area we were sitting on and gave a genuine smile ‘have you seen Frank today?’ he asked me as if something was wrong ‘no I haven’t, he haven’t got any classes together this cycle’ I stated squinting at the dreaded sun ‘he looks like shit.’ He said looking hurt ‘he has more black than usual on, bags under his eyes and was crying in fifth period in the black of the class, he didn’t even stand up for himself when the jocks were calling him a fag with a girlfriend!’ we all sat in silence all moving to 6th.

Afternoon…

I listened to iron maiden blast through my speakers as I pulled into Frank’s Driveway. ‘His cars here so he must be too’ I thought as I climbed the steps.

knock, knock! Silence

‘I’ll just let myself in.’ I unlocked the door, hoping for no more surprises. I heard music coming fro his room and thought he didn’t answer because he couldn’t hear me. I opened his door and looked around his room. He wasn’t there but I saw the light peer through his bathroom so I guessed he was showering. I waited and lay on his bed. As I stared at the ceiling I turned slightly and glanced at his desk. ‘He must be writing again’ I said when I saw pansy on his chair. I walked over to his table where there was scattered paper laying there, I picked it up and read.

Mother, where are you today?
You took a piece of me the day you went away,
No recollection nor the smell of your perfume,
I took a piece of you the day I left the womb.

I wept as I read that sentence, is this truly how he feels? I read on

Brother, put your needles down.
The best thing for you is to leave this awful town.
Pretty soon, you'll have kids to feed.
If you see mother, tell her I can sing.

I looked sideways slightly seeing the door and the light. I kept the paper in my hand as I walked over slowly ‘Frank, hey baby I came to vi- holy shit!

Please don't worry, I am doing fine.
You're much too busy to even find the time,
So use your chemicals and take this to your grave,
The boys you left are men you didn't raise.

What the fuck!’ I yelled as I saw, my boyfriend, my best friends by angel laying on the floor blood scattered across the tiles and packets on medicine thrown beside him.

And daddy, how are you today?
You must be proud of the boys that you have raised.
Your withered heart, and everything its seen,
Your cuts and calluses, you had kids to feed.

The blade was dripping and franks arms bled. He had cut himself. I looked at his arms his left arm reading ‘love’ and his right saying ‘Alicia’

I checked his pulse. As I cried and wail, screamed and panicked I felt a beat. A strong beat I saw franks eyes flutter open. ‘Don’t cry sugar’ he forced out in to much pain for recognition. ‘Frank WHY! I love you’ I said as the tears streamed and stained my face.

‘I just wanted to sleep…’



Dun dun dun! LOL how was it that was a crucial chapter guys, keep it in mind, it wasn’t the happiest but it will get very good from here =]]]
