Warnings for this chapter...Greed has the hots for Edward. And to be serious, can we blame him?
Chapter 7
“Metal limbs...armor... Are you the Elric brothers?” The man was suddenly directly in front of us, staring intently.
“You are not...him?” I asked in confusion, but he looked exactly like Hohenheim!
“Are you mistaking me for someone else?” He leaned forward even more with wide eyes. “Do you mean Van Hohenheim?” This guy is so creepy. “What is your relationship to him?”
“He's our father...” Al trailed off.
“Your father!?” This time he gripped my face in his hands tightly and stared intently into my eyes, what was with this guy? “I surprised! So he had children!” I managed to get away from his grasp. “Where is he now?”
“How should I know!”
From the corner of my eye I saw Ling move. “What are you!?” He shouted, unsheathing his sword and was pointing it at the Hohenheim look alike, in angry confusion. “What is with your insides!?” What was Ling talking about?
“Eat him Gluttony.” He said dismissively.
“Wait! He's our friend!”
“I don't care. He's of no use to me.” How can somebody be so clinical and cold!
“What did you say!?”
“Brother! He's the one called 'father' by the Homunculus, he's the one who created them!”
“So he's a bad guy!?” Shit, shit, shit! These people are nuts!
“I don't like it.” Ling joined the conversation again. “Those clothes, those eyes...that attitude.”
Moving fast, I transformed the ground to attack the Father. He easily destroyed them with a wave of his hand, obvious in his disinterest. Gritting my teeth I made the pipes wrap around him to try and capture him. But he just...made them disappear. I didn't know how, but they used deconstruction without him doing any alchemy. What's going on? How is he able to use alchemy without moving!?
“This is a waste of time.” Father said evenly. Then something, like a great pressure, exploded from him. It was strong enough to push me back a little bit. What the hell? I clapped my hands and put them on the ground, but nothing happened. I looked at my brother and we both tried it. Again, nothing happened. Why couldn't we use alchemy!? And now Ling was pinned down by Gluttony and Envy did the same to us so we were trapped underneath his massive claws.
“Envy! You bastard! What did that guy do?”
Envy laughed lowly. “When it comes to these lower life forms, as soon as they obtain great power, they become delighted and overeager.” I assumed that I was one of those 'lower life forms.' “They continue using it without even knowing what it is! They even think that they were able to create this current prosperity with their own power! What laugh! You fools!”
“You've said too much Envy.” Father reprimanded lightly.
“Yes, yes.” Envy singsonged.
“Look what you've done to my house.” Father said in a fake sorrowful manner, “It's disgraceful that you let them get this far.” He directed to Gluttony who was still holding Ling down. He glanced down at Ling, then smiled a little. “If I'm going to kill him anyway, I mustn't let the recourses of a human go to waste.” He reached up and pressed his forehead. Underneath his fingers the skin split to reveal a third eye that left me gaping. Any doubt in my mind that this was Hohenheim had left me at his unnatural appearance. “I might be able to add to my usable pawn.” Red fluid trickled from the eye and into Father's hand. Right now, I just happen to have an open seat for Greed.”
“The Philosopher's Stone!” Al cried in recognition of the red fluid hardening into a stone.
“He's going to make a Homunculus.” Envy informed us with an amused tone. “By pouring the Philosopher's Stone into his blood. If it goes well, a human based Homunculus will be created.” What happens if it doesn't go well?
“Wait! But they say the Philosopher's Stone is a physical form of energy.” I protested
“That's right. On top of that, the souls inside the Philosopher's Stone will compete with the body. If they body can withstand that, he will probably acquire great power. But usually they lose to the stone and die.” Die? Shit!
I struggled harder to escape but to no avail. “Let us go Envy!”
Father dropped the stone onto a cut on Ling's face, bubbling before disappearing into it. Then he was screaming as lines spread out from the wound and agony consumed him.
“Ling!” Al cried, trying to reach out to him but unable to struggle free. Ling continued to scream for what felt like for an eternity as blood flew from his mouth and he curled in on himself.
And then it stopped.
He coughed once, then stood up slowly, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Ling...?” I asked in confusion.
He turned towards me with a smile I had never seen on his face; full of sharp teeth and...greed.
“Ah, you must mean the owner of this body.” He said. Ling, or rather the Homunculus laughed manically. “This is a pretty nice body, thanks for birthing me old man!” He smirked at Father.
“Aw.” Envy said in amusement, “You've gone and succeeded. And now that form of that cheeky brat is left...You disgust me, Greed.”
“You're looking pretty repulsive yourself.”
“Greed, you say?” I asked, wondering what horrible nightmare I found myself in.
“Ah, who's that?” Greed crouched down in front of me with a smirk. “You know, you're pretty enough to pass as a woman.”
Bastard. “Ling...is...”
“Is this Ling guy a friend of yours? He was an interesting kid. He accepted me easily.” That predatory smirk didn't belong on Ling's face. “Sorry, Greed-sama has this container now!!!” That glint in his eyes set me on edge more than anything else. “But we could be good friends...” He reached out and stroked my face, making me flinch. What did he mean by that?
“He couldn't have been taken over so easily! Answer me Ling!” The hand slid behind my head and gripped my ponytail tightly, pulling it up so I was forced to arch my back painfully.
“I told you I'm not Ling!” Just then the door banged open to reveal a chimera crouched there. Everyone stared at it for a few seconds, then blood burst out of it and fell down. And there stood Scar in all his glory with at little girl by his side. I was for once relieved to see Scar, maybe he could help take down some of the Homunculus.

I quickly dispatched of the chimera and entered the room. I was very surprised by what I saw. This huge monstrous thing had Edward Elric and his brother pinned down and there was that young man with long dark hair- gripping his head? For a moment all I could do was stare at the two in their oddly intimate position, despite the large creature that should have been the center of my attention. But I brushed that thought aside as Mei tugged on my shirt sleeve and tried to hide behind my leg.
“What's wrong?”
“That person...I don't like it...” I looked to see who she was talking about and saw a moderately tall man with blond hair and beard. “He's a person, but not a person!”
“Hm...indeed.” I myself could feel the strangeness of his existence, slippery and hard to catch like a slimy fish.
“None of them are people!” Just then the small panda jumped into Mei's arms. “Xiao-mei! Thanks goodness, I was so worried!”
“It's the Ishbalan I missed out on eating...” Gluttony said hungrily.
“Hmm? The disobedient nation?” The odd blond man said. I felt a surge of anger at that monster in the form of a man talking about by nation so callously. “If I remember, he's the one who keeps getting in our way with his destructive alchemy.”
“Get rid of him Gluttony!” Envy yelled. “He can't use his alchemy right now!” Why would they think that? Before the disgusting thing could come close to me a thrust my hand forward and made him implode.
Beside me, Mei fought as well. “Divine punishment!” She yelled as a battle cry and transformed the ground into fists that jutted up and caught the thing pinning Edward Elric and his brother in the stomach.

“We're free!” Al and I cried. Scar and that little girl had used alchemy, so ours must be working again! So we tried, but once again, nothing happened. “WHY!?” I yelled in irritation as Al and I raced away from Envy.
“Why can you guys use alchemy here!?” Demanded Envy from Scar and the little girl..
“What the hell is going on here?” Asked Al.
“I don't know but...” This is our chance to get out of here. “Scar!” He turned towards me with his brow furrowed.
“These guys instigated the rebellion of Ishbal! They know everything about it!” I could see his eyes widen and his fist clench so tightly his veins popped out.
“It seems I'll have to ask you to explain this in detail.” He took a step toward the Homunculus. “Why did we have to fall to ruin?” Another step. “According to your reply I will send you to-
Gluttony leaped for him, but Scar was faster. He easily used deconstruction on him again. “No. I will not send you to God where my fellow countrymen of Ishbal reside.” I could feel the hate and sorrow emanating from Scar in waves. “Think of yourselves as undeserving of rest or redemption!!!” Envy was thrown aside as Scar's power lashed out at them.
“Oh, nice, nice.” Greed/Ling said appreciatively. “That X-guy is pretty good despite being normal.”
“What are you doing Greed? Remove the outsiders.” Father commanded.
“Yeah, yeah.” Greed drawled, sounding like a petulant child. He turned and his eyes fixed on me again, making my heart beat faster. “...But sorry old man, I want to play with this 'Edward' first.”
“I won't believe it, Ling.” I didn't like this new side of Ling, he freaked me out a little.
“Don't mix things up.” He held up his hand with the Homunculus tattoo on it as it slowly turned darker. I remembered from the first Greed that this was his 'Ultimate shield' that could not be destroyed. “I am Greed.” I froze as he reached that hand out and brushed it against my face like an odd caress. I wanted to bat the hand away, but couldn't. “And I don't let my 'possessions' go.”
LINE
How do you guys like it? I like Greed the most out of the Homunculus because he cares for his 'possessions.' Like his comrades and underlings. In a weird, sick, twisted way. I thought it would only be natural if he considered Edward one of his possessions. To be honest, Edward really is pretty.
