I decided to stay up extra late to finish another chapter today, because I'm not gonna be doing one tomorrow since it's halloween! Consider this as a Halloween treat!

Chapter 15- Take this to your grave

~Patrick~
I pushed Natasha away from me and stared at Pete. Pete's face turned beet red and he clenched his fists.

“Pete, I swear, it's not what it looks like.”

“I don't want to hear it.”

Pete walked upstairs and five minutes later came down stairs fully dressed. He opened up the door and slammed it shut.

I looked at Natasha. “I can't believe this. I knew I shouldn't have done that.”

I took Madison from her crib, where Pete put her back, and took her to my room.

“Daddy, where did Daddy go?”

I sighed. “I did a bad thing and Daddy got mad at me. He just went to cool off.”

She nodded.

I held Madison in my arms while I thought about me and Natasha's discussion. She said she wanted me back.

I was temped, I knew I was, but I couldn't do it. I love Pete way too much. Even though I love Natasha. I guess just in a different way.

The kiss, all it was was a “goodbye” kiss. We were just saying goodbye to our relationship.

I really wish I had just turned her down. I wish she lived with her mom or something. Not here, ruining my relationship.

I looked Madison in the eyes. They had the color of mine, but the shape was more like Natasha's. I kissed her forehead and hugged her. “I love you so much Madison.”

“I wuv you too, Daddy.”

The next day, I woke up and Pete wasn't beside me. I went into the living room, and there was Pete, sleeping on the couch.

I woke him up and he hit me. “Pete, please, I want to talk to you.”

“You can talk, but I won't guarantee a reply.”

I sighed. I guess that's better than nothing. “Okay, that kiss that you saw, it was just a goodbye kiss. Natasha came to me and wanted me back. I told her no, and then she asked for a goodbye kiss, so we can close our relationship completely. I was reluctant, but I did it. Then, you know, you came in and saw us.”
Pete turned around and looked at me. “Patrick, I don't know what to say,”

I smiled, anticipating a good answer. “Other than that is the biggest bull shit I've ever heard. Goodbye kiss?! Whatever.”

He rolled over and tried to get back to sleep. “Pete, please, you have to believe me!”

“Why should I believe you? You kissed someone else and I'm supposed to believe every fucking thing you say? I'm not that stupid.”

I tried to speak again, but he ignored me after that.

I went back to bed, feeling awful.

And over the next few days, it got worse.

I had a big cloud over me every single day, and it wouldn't go away. Depression was making me sink, and I couldn't find a way to get out. When I try to talk to Pete, he ignores me or goes away. And when we go to bed, he always takes the couch.

One day, I just couldn't take it. I packed my things, and I got in the car.

Once I got to the airport, I got the next ticket to Chicago, and soon, I was off.

I walked the streets of Chicago, and it brought back so many memories. Some of them painful. I walked pass me and Pete's favorite pizza place, and I stopped and got a couple slices.

As I ate, I kept walking, looking for something to do, or at least something to get my mind off him.

A bus pulled up to the front of a building and a bunch of what looked like high schoolers came out. They all had instruments in their hands, most of them violin.

I saw someone that looked familiar and I couldn't remember where I saw her at. She turned her head my direction and a scream came out of her mouth.

She ran up to me and gave me a hug that nearly knocked me over.

“Hi, I've met you before.”

She grinned. “I met you after the concert, remember?! Oh my God, this is the best day of my life! What are you doing here, I thought you lived in LA?”

“I do, I just had to get away.”

“Oh, where's Pete?”

My skin crawled at the sound of his name. “He's at home. We're kinda having problems.”

“Oh, well, come watch our show and then you can tell me about it afterwards.”

I almost said no, but then I remembered, I don't have anything else to do.

“Sure, I'll do that.”

She shrieked and pulled on my hand. I came stumbling after her and she brought me up to a girl who I assume was her friend.

“Joy, look, it's Patrick Stump! He's gonna stay for the show and then we're gonna hang out afterwards!”

She nodded. “That's awesome.”

I spoke to the girl who was actually a fan and said, “What was your name again?”

“Natasha.”

“Okay, Natasha. I can definitely remember that. When does the concert start?”

“In about an hour. So you can go off for a little bit, and then come back at two.”

“Sounds good to me.”

She hugged me again extremely tight then I felt her squeeze my butt. “Hey, what was that about?”

“I forgot to do that last time.”

“Oh, well, I'll see you in about an hour. I'll try to be early so I can get a good seat.”

She grinned and ran to catch up with the rest of the orchestra.

When everyone got up after the concert, I went to look for Natasha.

I had never really been one for the orchestra, but they were seriously amazing. And they make it look so easy.

When I found her, I hugged her this time and said, “You did great. I loved it.”

She smiled. “Thanks!”

She told her teacher where she'd be at, and she came back and said, “I only have about an hour to talk, but at least I get to go!”

We walked out of the building and found the closest coffee shop. She offered to pay, but I told her not to worry about it.

We sat down at a table and she said, “So, tell me what's with you and Pete.”

I took a deep breath. “Well, there's something you need to know first before this makes sense. Me and Pete are.......dating.”

She nearly choked on her iced coffee. “Oh my God, you two are dating! That is so awesome! I love Peterick.”

Wow, I didn't expect that. “Oh, you're okay with it?”

“Okay? I'm better than okay with it! I'm so glad that you realized the love between you guys. Everyone else could see it.”

“Okay, well I'm glad you're okay with it. But there might not be a Peterick anymore and here's why.”

I told her about everything that has happened. Pete cheating, me sleeping with Natasha, Madison, everything. She listened intently, nodding her head and responding occasionally. Overall a good listener.

When I was finished, she said, “Well, I think Pete will get over it. He'll realize that you're not lying and everything will be fine. Just don't give up.”

I sighed. “Sounds easier than it really is.”

She looked her watch. “Oh, crap, it's ten till. We should start walking back now.”

“Okay.”

Right before I left Natasha with her orchestra, she pulled me into a hug and said, “Don't worry, okay. Everything will work out. Here's my cell phone number if you need to talk to me. I'll always answer for you.” And she slipped a piece of paper in my back pocket. “Bye Patrick.”

“Bye Natasha.”

I wandered some more, not knowing where to go, but then I decided to pay my mom a visit.

When I got to the house I grew up in, I rang the door bell. When she answered and saw it was me, she grabbed me and hugged me tightly. “Hi, Patrick, how are you? What are you doing here?”

I shrugged. “I don't know.”

“Well, come on in. When Pete told me that you would be coming, I made pumpkin squares!”

I froze. “Pete?”

“Yes, he's in the living room eating one now.”

I walked into the living room, and there he was.
